Ohh finally! I used to have a recording of Brandenburg 3 which had a cadenza in the 2nd mov playing this same 2nd mov of the sonata! I didn't know it was this one until now. Thank you so much!

The font in which the score is printed. Try to compare for example C. Peters with Baerenreiter or G. Henle with Baerenreiter. You'll soon notice the difference!

The basso continuo in the adagio is the same as in the trio sonata in G Major BWV 1038.

Amazing! I recently learned this piece... on piano! Of course the accompanying notation for the keyboard must be left out. Just the two voices for the strings, played on piano, turns out to be very, very nice.

Figured bass indicates the harmonies the keyboard player is to improvise. E.g., if there is a 5/3 in the bass the chord has the third and the fifth above the bass note, i.e. a root position chord.
