Mr. Pinnock's articulation is excellent, making the rhthm so clear, yet giving each note some space.

Recordings full of impulses, should've cleaned them with record cleaner solution, or treated with the ZeroStat anti static device. Audacity click remover is good enough, the one in Adobe Audition is more aggressive.

I like the decision to leave only strings on the end of the second movement (13:58), even though the harpsichord is scored to play together. It gets way more emotional and dramatic that way.

1:49 supposed to be b natural, then b-flat. Who on the earth decided to change it to b-flat?

what other wordly mathematics is going on here.... lightlanguage from the stars.... no wonder the Thomas kirche was heavy on him! Way too intense for all those proper pios sheeples :) by the way, anyone else thinks that this sounds a bit like some of Pachelbels organ works? Especially the fugal stuff and ricarwhatsitcalleds those chromatic fantasy type pieces

these partitas sound better played by a pianist and on a piano ... unlike some other of bachs keyboard music... well thats just my opinion of course...

A stunningly beautiful work, yes, but in my opinion *slightly* overrated in comparison to many other of Bach's more dynamic early cantatas, despite this being by far the most well-known of all his early cantatas.

The moments of dissonance in the Ciaccona between the hovering voice parts and the rising ground bass are so moving.

It's truly saddening to learn of Gerubach's passing. Thanks to his work, I was able to understand Bach's music better. He inspired me to learn to read music sheets, and I’m certain his work has inspired and will continue to inspire many musicians around the world. I am sure that he now stands alongside Bach as one of the most significant contributors to Counterpoint and Baroque music. My eternal gratitude to Gerubach.

Why is timpani written down a major second below from what it sounds like in the music? It’s never a transposing instrument.

Literally the most underrated piece of all time, what the heck is this monster. Also this sounds similar to the contrapunctus fugues, is this a specific type of fugue, its just so dense and juicy
