Seagull is designed by Wolf Egger, former Lamborghini designer, with muscular sharp lines instead of typical tiny car round cute look i.e., Wulin Bingo, BMW i3…Honda Urban….

For American market BYD should bring out the huskies and fatter version: the Baygull. They should have the LOX and CC special edition to really make it exclusive!😂😂

Well: As you said; the likes of the Citroen AMI are NOT cars. They're what here in Europe are called the Urban Mobility Vehicles (UMV), and those do have some regulatory restrictions here. Speed, battery power limits and essentially, you CAN'T go with those vehicles in motorways. They're designed for very specific urban commuter tasks in mind. Think a youth or young adult going from home to university. Those are the cases. You know; very limited. If incidentally one has a motorway in the mean way, nothing done! You know; with a so restricted use case, those vehicles will still be only such a niche market, competing with far cheaper options like bicycles, scooters, and the likes, especially once most of the alternatives doesn't need a driving licence and the UMV's do need a simplified one. So now; the BYD Seagull is another thing. It joins the best of 2 worlds: An UMV which can also go on motorways, no speed or battery power limits and you can go with 4 people inside just with your typical driving licence!... BYD Seagull might have a prosperous future in Europe, but the competition will be huge. For now the Citroen E-C3 which was the first real European People's EV. On the next months we'll have the Renault 5, the VW ID.2 (with this or any other name, arguably e-Golf according to some sources), and perhaps something from the Volvo group.

We in need of this hatch back with physical key with 2004 model type tata indica with no specifications and features, even if its without air conditioner we keep an alternate manual wiper inside the car to wipe vapour on rainy seasons. But the price should be lowered for middle class people. Its battery is made of less cost by sodium solid state battery which is 70%less cost than lithium. So please our brothers lower the cost.

The problem in the US is that Small = Cheap & Stupidly Dumb! Large = Better and more Luxurious. The issue is that US Car Manufacturers focus overwhelmingly on profit margins. Over time, they convince themselves and US buyers, that bigger is better.

I disagree with the blanket statement that small cars won't sell in North America. This is marketing hype to protect the North American Auto Industry that is geared for over blown vehicles. The original VW Bug, Golf, Sciroccos, Honda models were in such high demand at one time that Dealers couldn't get them fast enough. Move on to more recent times & Toyota's are still very much a big seller here & you will find more Prius & Sentra's as taxis in any North American city than you will from the Big Three.
