I just did this five hours ago and everything's been fine so far. I had Monterey and then I downloaded Sonoma. I went to the website, copied the command, opened terminal and pasted it. Immediately after executing the command, I restarted my computer. After that, I clicked on install macOS Sonoma. When Sonoma finished the installation, I was able to keep using my computer as usual. I hope it keeps the same and that it still allows me to update to new macOS versions.

Wtf this actually freaking worked?? I was suspicious bc it had Vietnamese text in the terminal prompts but it worked just like how it is in the video. I got scammed into buying an MDM MacBook 2 years ago and it’s just been collecting dust. Randomly decided to see if I could find a way to fix this and since I didn’t have anything to lose I tried this and it actually worked wtf

Yes this worked on my M1 with Sonoma. Terminal was in Vietnamese so I was concerned. But I can verify it works.

Hello there. Will this work on a screen that says "Activation Lock" "this mac is linked to an apple id. Enter apple id and password that was previously used blah blah blah"..then it has a square smiley face logo in the middle. Sorry coz im not sure its the same activation lock that you mean. Only reason to bypass mdm is if you have a stolen computer.

for sure that's definitely a possibility, but sometimes companies offload their work computers and sell them off and IT forget to remove the MDM. I know of people that have had their companies openly sell off computers that don't need anymore
