I just received mine and tested it with the plastic rounds and came to the conclusion that it has a punch. I waited a long time for it to get here , but well worth the wait. Feels great in the hand and is very accurate. I definitely recommend it.

This is an excellent video.....Respectfully, Mr. Spomer, you are shooting with Co2, not air. A technicality, I know. Both are compressible gasses... Carbon Dioxide is the chosen gas for propulsion. Your treatment of the Byrna HD is nothing short of expert and tells me everything I need to know to move forward with a decision. I often leave my office at night and I like the idea of disabling and assailant and having him answer for his behavior. I'd find no joy in killing just because I could. And, the courts might not see it my way in the end if I did. Congrats on your good work!

Does the holster have an adjustable cant and do you think it would fit a duty belt?

There are differences in power for the different models. The SD and the base models are around 280-330fps ish. They use 8gram CO2 cartridges. The LE is the most powerful at 350-400+ fps. It uses 12 gram CO@ with alot more power. I just ordered the LE. This is one of the better videos on the Byrna that is out there.

I imagine this would be a great choice for RVers and campers that travel across state lines or into parks that don't allow firearms. Sure, it's no substitute for a real gun, but getting shot in the face with that thing at close range has to suck, and would probably convince most people they needed to be somewhere else.

You can also make aluminum balls. Aluminum is light and, accordingly, it will not affect the speed of the bullet.

It's 270-300 FPS. Still enough to really hurt though and stop somebody at close-medium range.

Great video but I'm getting an average of 275 from nylon riot rounds and an average of 295 with the kinetic byrna rounds. I have been shot by both and carry the riot round which does shoot perfectly out of this weapon.

Cool thing. Especially the balls that are filled with tear gas. They do double damage. You can even create incendiary chambers so that the ball explodes, but for this it must be filled with some kind of gas that will ignite when combined with oxygen. And also the balls can be filled with liquid nitrogen, which, if hit in the head, will cause damage from hypothermia. They can even be filled with sulfuric acid. You can make all kinds of different cartridges. Nice thing. 👍

Considering that according to the FBI, most shootings occur within 12-15 feet, the Byrna is going to be very accurate and the Kinetic rounds will pack a punch and they hurt like hell. The Pepperball Max rounds are sooo effective at stopping anyone who tries to mess with you.

I really like my byrna I just wish there was a way to increase fps and tune it a bit. if you guys could increase it you would have a lot more people purchasing this. But either way I like mine and hope to see more products from byrna.

The byrna is the better looking out of all the less lethal launchers but its the weakest and it feels like a cheap toys r us gun fsc is the better launcher lil bigger than the byrna but more powerful
