In this episode of the Align Podcast, I chat with my dear friend, Byron Katie, who shares invaluable insight into living in the present moment. Through this conversation, you will have a deeper understanding of how our unhappiness, stress, and anxiety all stem from our lack of living in our now. And through simply shifting our perspective to the moment we are living in, we are able to experience our life to the fullest.
We also dive into how to come to terms with our death, un-trapping ourselves from the story we are living in, and many more mindfulness nuggets you don’t want to miss.

“It’s handy-dandy to be in The Now” how joyfully true and simple. Byron is a delight; this was a beautiful human connection in every sense. Thank you for sharing this!

It’s so difficult not to be egoic. I find it so hard to have compassion for stupidity- which is insane because I can be very stupid myself. My current mantra is, “I choose compassion over judgment.” Wish me luck! 🍀

Thank you, I enjoyed a lot this interview with B. Katie. Specially when she talks about guilty and our true nature. Now about the breathing excercise at the beginning, maybe he needed to do it to calm himself and be centered with Katie.

Ooooh that was an aha moment for me - why is that connecting to someone else is an experience of unity… in connecting with the projection “outside” myself I am meeting an undiscovered part of my myself. I LOVE it when she explains her worldview… often it is more insightful for me than a worksheet. Thank you both 🙏🏼✨

Omg sorry Aaron that was not necerrary. I can see how she is not wanting to do that. it's weird that you have to take her thru practice. Teaching her yoga, when she is enlightened.

hiya, Selenge!..and yes, I had some thoughts on that in my comment, too..and she might enjoy yoga, if she ever chose to do to it..but she certainly didn't and *doesn't* need historically traditional or similar techniques taught to her ..and certainly not by someone young enough to be her child.🙄 but, as demonstrated in the video, she's definitely, imho, a beautiful example of someone who 'Knows Thy Self.'🌻🌺☯💕 anyway, 'spiritual' and or 'new-age' communities [and I'm talking smack about myself, as well, in that way - because although I'm eclectic re: my own walk of Inquiry, they're my people, too LoL!!😄]...but re: the communities, I imagine you understand the tendency there: they/we seem to want to steer clear of the obvious sometimes: but, indeed, what a strange way to conduct an interview/conversation..just something *very* odd about his need to do that..with anyone, whether or not we believe they're "enlightened." and then to just ignore her seeming message when she mentioned realizing she had misunderstood the instructions, then he wanted to do it all over again?? that's a fairly disrespectful way to treat an elder in *any* case..esp., when you don't know their current physical needs or health concerns..and she has mentioned before not always being careful when she's dealing with those she is caring about [like the gun incident..and the threats by the ex-cop]. also, when she, respectfully, mentioned having to remain on schedule, at least in part, because of another interview later that day, he chose to push back on that rather than just going forward with the interview..but like I said in my post, because of Katie, I'll visit this page again soon, see how the actual interview itself goes..but it certainly starts out quite cringe-worthy.😐

omg, LoL!!😄why's he trying make our Katie take 30 ordered breaths first?, hahahaha!! did we miss an announcment, a preamble or something?, lordy, please! just cut to it & give us the interview, sheesh!! I mean why, oh, why did he NEEEEEED that??🙄 ah, well, remembering the mention re: when KT was very happy to help Oprah out when Oprah had a preference for THAT interview, too..when she wanted Katie to change her sweater top, in between 'meeting sessions.' even though all '3 session parts' of that interview were actually recorded in one day....but, tbh, even with that being the case, kind of weird & controlling, as well, this guy...and he wasn't at all sensitive to her or respectful when she mentioned having to adhere to a schedule re: another interview later..really strange behavior...anyway, I'll probably visit again soon, sure..because KT is such a gem..but will definitely Fast Forward to look for the actual INTERVIEW part of this upload.😮👍

@nancy williams No, not really. Sorry, wasn't feeling that great when I wrote that comment. I still stand by it. I don't think their interaction was right for the podcast format. THat's not to say Katie isn't an amazing and insightful person. Many people look up to her, so she probably is a bit of both. I can't say I've seen every single episode, but I have been through almost all of the videos of the ALign Podcast that are on this youtube channel. I might just be so used to the way the other podcasts flow and the other guests speak, I'm averse to any a guest that speaks in a different manner. I will admit, it's become a habit of mine to go through one epsisode right before going to bed while doing osmething else, and I havent skipped a day, so, by now, it's a relly ingrained habbit of mine.

Rooster Maind now it makes total sense. That’s the problem of me judging people, I didn’t allow others to be 😅. I have done the work for 4 years and something cool about it is that it makes me question everything, including Byron Katie 🥰
@sheilakirwan9462
@sheilakirwan9462 4 жыл бұрын
paola yes judging others causes us to suffer and BK has a way to get us out of that suffering, as long as we make the effort to do it, rather than just endlessly complain and justify ourselves in holding onto our problems, and spreading our dis-ease, whilst wanting confirmation from others that we are right ....all of which keeps us in victimhood...
