wondered how to make a main menu in roblox studio? or how to create a shop which has working GUI? ive made lots of 2024 roblox scripting tutorials about all the different bits of roblox to give you some up-to-date information about all of its properties and events.
my goal is to simply give some insight on how to use the various features and instances roblox studio, and show you some fun stuff you can do with them. thanks for checking out this roblox scripting tutorial :)

A fun thing you can do with highlights is to have a part with glass material, and its transparency set to a number greater than 1. If you add a highlight to the part, you'll have a ripple effect which increases with the more transparency you add, and even if the highlight is disabled it'll still render that effect.

I personally set Transparency to 1 then paste alot of fading image in it lol

The only issue is that it doesn't wrap around meshes, so I just put gradient decals, and it works the same.

7:46 to be fair, highlights are known for being insanely glitchy for absolutely no reason and sometimes highlighting things they are not supposed to highlight so, this method can actually help you out if you run into problems with highlights

U can also do this with a particle emitter, just get the texture for the eye, set that as the particle, then edit the lifespan and rate until it appears consistently, this allows you to make blinking eyes, an eye that gets bigger then smaller, etc

"oil up" 😭😭 Edit: also stinky byteblox, you don't need the alwaysontop to be on so the part glows!!! Set the light influence to 0, and then the brightness option will show!1!1

You also don't need to create a new point, you can drag the point at the far right edge or far left edge to get the ghost effect

A video that compiles everything from fluid physics to smartbones would be incredible in just one vid. Too adhd and lazy to watch the whole vid rn but if you indeed included everything that's awesome. If not tho, pls do that. So I don't have to dedicate my life to know all the bleeding edge features and tricks.

Nice experiments!, if roblox has the shader of MMD/MME/Ray-MMD I would focus on this more. This is just my opinion but I think there would be an interest making Roblox Stud. as some sort of a more updated MMD. Also they should allow natural import of models that doesn't look like their standard of models(aka Lego/Minecraft like), I mean you don't need to do tricks like skin mesh, etc. for those who like to use it as an animation software, aka movies / shows.

A little suggestion for GUI artist out there. If you want your GUI object to be the same scale on both axees, just type in the number once. They made it apply to both columns :)

change the anchor instead of the position to 0.5, 0.5 so whenever you change the sise its always centered

6:17 it's better if you dont have 3 points and just have 2. you can see there's still that end point which has 0 transparency so if you look hard enough there will still be a couple pixels near the end that have 0 transparency instead of 1. all you need to do is drag the 2nd point to the top, no clue why he didn't do that

i dont play roblox but i got this vid randomly on my recommended and im confused so like can you not use custom textures in the engine? vertex colors? from someone thats messed around with unreal engine a bit, spamming objects that have code running just to use a gradient you could do in paint in 2s is completely absurd
