I would suggest to anybody who sees this video to contrast the statements with the comentries of other egyptologyst like Robert Ritner (just make a search on KZfaq). Joseph Smith's translation of the book of Abraham doesn't match with the translation that an egyptologyst make of the fascimiles for instance.

If for the sake of argument we were to suppose the the book of Abraham was not actually a translation of Egyptian documents, what do you imagine the evidence of that might look look like?

It's very edifying to see that others, much more educated and accomplished with this body of knowledge than I, have also received the same spiritual witnesses and testimonies about the Book of Abraham that I have. The Holy Spirit has confirmed to me that there is so much more to know about history than we presently understand. I'm so excited to learn about history from the Lord someday.

I am thankful that the Lord has not made things easy and fool proof. Otherwise we might have a church full of shallow, insincere people who are there only because of pristine museum evidence. God will require faith (spiritual evidence), and that reality exists here with the Book of Abraham authenticity issue. He knows exactly what He’s doing. I am also thankful for our scholar faithful’s like Kerry Muhlestein, Alexander L. Baugh, John Gee, and Andrew H. Hedges. Academic angels on our shoulders. Glenn Rawson is outstanding as narrator, as usual.

I find the music distracting from the speakers voices, may want to let the background music go, as the volume fluctuations is hard for some to hear

21:35 what is that paper from John Gee? I’d like to know the time of the example. Seems like the time of Abraham all the way till after Joseph there were changes or repurposed characters by Semitics that Upper Egypt and the New Kingdom wouldn’t agree with, unfortunately that is where we lost most records. But Egyptian funerary texts would have been preserved with Joseph’s sarcophagus and Jews who fled back to Egypt and established temples would take temple texts and records with them back to Egypt and the Jews would reinterpret the pagan characters to fit their culture. They would rewrite what Abraham would have scribed and taught Isaac and Jacob and Joseph along with his interpretations, and Joseph is later favored for his interpretation because the Hour priests could not find a compatible symbol translation in the Dream Interpretation book.

Additional support is Teru of Urkesh is more likely than not Terra father of Abraham. Mari texts outline a clear match for Terra and the time frame, about 1750 -1725 BC, at the crumbling of the Egyptian 13th Dynasty (Neferhotep is mentioned) whose god was Sobek as we see Abraham and Joseph noted.
