agreed.for me both have their own talent..no need to comparing based on one or two song that they perform..u must search n see how amazing they are in many way in music..im not juz look how great great vocal of them only,but i prefer how amazing they are as a musician.but i understand as a fans ofcoz they said their idol or fav artist better than others..maybe they look based on the power of vocal only..😅

U need power of vocalist for identity the band same like idol group u need visual or face of the group even just have 1/2 vocalist and the rest not good at least can survive and selling album and stuff well bcz i remember lovelyz lose to twice in sugarman bcz of visual and popularity in "music" program..

They both have their own style. Hongki style is more like sad breaking up. but Yonghwa style is more like. "yes i break up with you. Bye" hahaha, but both styles i love. Indeed the original one still can't be denied. it just make us go back to the memory of this song. Btw, Good job both of you!!

Nostalgia is hitting me hard. FT Island and CN Blue brought me into K-Pop/Rock when I was in middle school and were my favorite bands for a long time. They still hold a place in my heart till now…haha now I am feeling old.

I think Young Hwa can't steal Hong Gi's song and vice versa Hong Gi can't steal Young Hwa's song. Both are amazing and unique in their own style. Two of my favorite voices. Each of them has different qualities. Hong Gi has more power with a perfect belt and overall range, Young Hwa has more versatility and a great falsetto. Hong Gi has that amazing raspy voice, Young Hwa has that amazing clean tone.

agreed… honestly they’re two artists who i feel the originals are always better than the covers. they’re both so lovely it’s enjoyable to hear them sing each other’s songs; but overall, i like how yonghwa sings his own songs and he knows how to write and compose songs that suit him best, and i like how hongki sings his own songs :)

I’ve seen them sing each other’s song before. Yong Hwa sang “I Hope” with Hongki in 2023 and they both nailed it. Hongki sang “Loner” with Yong Hwa in the same year, and the way he sang “oetoriya” was raspy in the best way! ❤

Yonghwa feels like he's already moved on and saying goodbye to old love. While Hongki feels like he still has lingering feelings. You can really how different their styles are. This is so nostalgic since these 2 bands brought me to kpop.

I think YongHwa is very smart to rearrange the song into a style which fits him better as for sure he won't be able to beat the original version which HongGi sings, in terms of power strength and emotion. He nails it in the re-arranged version and Hong Gi is so spot-on describing what emotion this new arrangement gives. This arrangement is really impressive (except that I really dislike the way he screams.) It is relaxing to listen to his version. However, Hong Gi nails it so well to showcase a sudden octave up at last to excel this intensive performance within 100 seconds. Hong Gi just boost the emotion all way up! Sometimes you will forget to breathe when listening to Hong Gi's songs as its so heart-wrenching and heavy. I think both versions are great. As a fan, of coz I prefer Hong Gi's version as his vocal strength, power, and uniqueness cannot be compared, but I would be glad if more people will listen to the original version due to this new arranged version by JYH.

이홍기 어나더 레벨인데. 취향을 떠나서 감성도 성량도 넘 수준급인 거 인정. FT아일랜드가 왜 항상 더 실속 있고 안정적인 지 알 것 같다. 난 륵 별로 안 듣는데 정용화 님이 오히려 사랑 사랑 사랑을 알려 준 것 같아 고맙다. 길이 서로 다른데 정용화님 나름 괜찮지만 이홍기님은 정말 길을 잘 닦은 듯. 멋지네. 처음 듣는데 두근두근하네. 방어 성공할만했음. 들을 때마다 그 천둥같은 목소리 매력있음. 옛날로치면 득음한 목소리라 구성지기도 하고.

JYH is very charismatic, entertaining and has a good voice, but Lee Hongki has vocal skills with a rich, warm tone that I have loved ever since the first time I heard him sing. For me, he was the best in this contest.

I realized I have not heard's Love Love Love for so long except for the chorus so it was very great listen to the new arrangement. But YongHwa is spot on when he said "as soon as I heard HongGi sings, I know I can't beat the original". Such a good song!

Their personalities are so distinct in the way they sing. As a fan of both... Yonghwa is excellent when it comes to the cool breakups, while Hongki just excels at showing all the emotions of a love song. I still love and prefer Hongki's version. 'Love Love Love' is iconic and Hongki's voice really makes the song his own. Hongki's vocals just fit the sad and bittersweet rock ballads I love from 2nd gen kpop sounds

Oh, I love this! Fantastic performances from both Hong-ki and Yong-hwa! Such strong, powerful, and unique voices. I’ll never get tired of hearing Hong-ki sing, and Yong-hwa really has such a sweet voice, and he did such a fantastic rendition of Hong-ki/FTI’s song. Ugh. I’m gonna go listen to FTI now because the songs are such bops!

As long as I saw their performance from the first minute to the end, I was always smiling, my smile even widened when they appeared. what a very fresh look, and their songs have filled my teenage years into adulthood 😂 In fact, the drama between the two of them was a drama that was in great demand at the time, two of the most remembered K-pop bands to date. ❤

Yong Hwa screamed half the song. He did not overcome the vocal level of the original. But I liked his new arrangement, especially the intro.
