This is about as impressive as watching a clearcut operation. A bunch of gloating over engineering feats while nature gets hacked to pieces. At least China managed to save their pandas - for now. If pandas lived in a wind zone they'd be evicted. www.google.com/search?q=wind+turbines+backlash

I was in XiChang recently and saw these types of trucks delivering turbine blades and it's very impressive. Much different than how they do this in the US.

I am more impressed with carrying methods and operators. it is never going to be easy to change the weight ratio while carrying the goods, especially on soft roads really easy to roll over.

Very clever solution of heavy haul. In North Ameria or Europe the common solution to haul blades would be horizontally loaded freight on trailer with booster and jeep. This way the needed axles are so much fewer and the freight is able to be controlled much more flexibly to go thru sharp turns. It's a very creative way providing that usual heavy haul is just adding axles.

Good job. I think you have an error in the weight of the blades. It should be 8 tons, not 80.

No, its possible. One of the biggest Wind Turbine Blades in Germany weighs 65 tons. The Chinese use even bigger blades. But I wonder how it is balanced. The truck weights only 10 tons 🤔

C&C U480 has only 480ps. and if you say its best for that work try volvo fh16 750ps or scania S730 with 730ps v8. now thats a trucks for works in mountains. And blade weights only 12 tones, not quite impresive. Average Europe truck has more horsepower that yours U480.

the lack of super heavy lift helicopter is probably the main reason, there are only a handful of Mi-26s( look it up, it CAN lift things) within civilian service. plus one has to factor in the weather conditions in the mountain regions. also cost is another big problem.

BULLSHIT. A standard modern 50-m long blade weighs about 1 tonne. How would you brake three 80-ton blades during a strong wind? :D This is pure Chinese quality of information. :D

and iv googled it out as well, as might from the same source where it says, quote: "In the GE 1.5-megawatt model, the nacelle alone weighs more than 56 tons, the blade assembly weighs more than 36 tons, and the tower itself weighs about 71 tons - a total weight of 164 tons. The corresponding weights for the Vestas V90 are 75, 40, and 152, total 267 tons; and for the Gamesa G87 72, 42, and 220, total 334 tons. " Pointing out: Blade assembly weights more than 36 tons/ 3 blades = 12 tons each. are we good?

Amazingly un ecological destruction of an entire mountain range for unreliable, intermittent, expensive useless windmills ! How about using this cash for ‘clean coal technology” development and leave the mountain ranges in tact ?
