One of the greatest artists in any genre working today. So excited to see her here that I haven't even watched beyond her introduction yet -- had to take a moment to come here and say how awesome she is. I'm sure her picks will be amazing. EDIT: Watched it now and yep, amazing.

She’s such a nerd and I mean it in the best way possible❤️ This should’ve been even longer, I want to listen to her talk about more of her favorite albums. She’s so passionate and well-spoken too. And the TASTE, and range of genre. Callas and Björk. You can hear the Björk influence in her music

Just saw Cecile last month at Judson’s Live in Orlando. While only an hour set, she was OUTSTANDING! Having all of her recordings already, it was nonetheless terrific to hear her live. What an artist! Not surprised at any of these choices because she’s so astoundingly knowledgeable. Thank you for posting.

I love this series, totally hooked on it. Cécile McLorin Salvant loving the Meat Puppets = just freaking awesome. I did some artwork for her shows at a jazz club here in NYC, then she won a grammy. Best part of L.A. is Amoeba Records.

Those were all very interesting and totally eclectic picks. First I thought, OMG she is gonna pick so much Opera but then it was only that one album and all the other stuff was totally over the place. Love it!
