Love your channel so much! Great advice and I have learned so much from you! Was giving only 1 mg of acid folic... never had problems with palate but I will definitely adjust the dose and I have never schedule my c section... I always do a reverse progesterone . TY very appreciated

So is it smart to do the reverse progesterone test? My frenchies c section is the 17th at 8am. They sre doing that test to see if she can be taken that day even though the breeder told them MONDAY should be the day she has the c section.

Help me out please I had surgical AI and my plan was to start taking her to the vet on day 60 but of course on a Sunday she started having puppies on her own on the 59th day. She had 5 puppies naturally and the 5th one didn’t make it because she took a break from having them. That’s when I had time to take her to emergency vet and they took out last 3. How do I avoid this with her again?

Had a girl who ate all the way up to she gave birth. She also never dropped her temp. Only way to tell is doing reverse pg starting at day 59 to get an idea since she is just so wacky even with the levels.

Hi James is it safe (ie not taking early) puppies at AI1=65 days AI2=63 days today! She isnt showing many signs of giving them up yet! So if over the 63/65 day mark should I be good to ask vet for c-section or would you wait for natural whelp to begin or I guess even progesterone test to see if

Did you get any info on this? My girl is on her 65th day since first AI which would be day 67 from ovulation but I’m still here waiting for signs of birth

Hi James got my first progesterone test for my English bulldog on day 8 and we’ve got a 5ng/ml and we’ve done the second progesterone test on day 10 and we’ve got a reading of 17ng/ml. So we did an AI on that day (day 10) then repeat AI on day 12 and maybe probably if the owner of the stud dog will allow us to have a third session it will be done on the day 14. My question is in order for me to have a good chance of excellent litter survival how do I start counting till I can say that my bulldog is now ready to give birth to a healthy litter. Is it 60 days from the first AI or 63 days after the first AI??? Thank you James

Can a dog have a natural birth 1 and a half years after a c-section..? The only reason she had a c-section the first time was because the person who had her before me got impatient… the vet told me she should have no problem giving birth to them cause they not that big.. but idk if I should try and let her have them naturally or schedule a c-section..

I can’t find a vet that will help with a c-section unless it’s on a emergency basis can you possibly refer me to someone I’m in Peoria AZ and desperately needed according to the progesterone testing she should be due approximately February 14th so I need someone soon

@LoveMyPups the only labor behavior my Fawn showed was her temperature drop. She was not panting, she wasn't showing any nesting signs nor was she shivering. Within 2 hours temperature dropped from 99.2 to 98.4. I was advised to take her to the vet asap. When I got there her reverse PG was at .8. Within the next hour she had 3 healthy puppies.

we did 2 pg test only. I don't remember the exact #s but First pg was on August 30 and she was at 7.0 something Second pg was on August 31 and she was at 9.0 something And the guy that did the pg test said she would be ready to do first A.i. on September 2, A.i's #1 September 2 #2 September 3 #3 September 4 My question is when should I start doing reverse pg test, and around what day would she be ready to give birth?

I had a litter born on easter sunday , 2 pups came out healthy and natural i needed a c section after that and lost all the pups in mom , paid 3.5k on the surgery. She was in labor over 24 hours . (8 yr old pitbull terrier 3rd litter)
