My 75 had a shrinking tank and I knew that I did not have the ability to change it so I am bringing it to the Corvette Center. Getting the valve seals done at the same time. Happy Motoring.

My 1980 that I just mentioned have been sitting in a wrecking yard in Arizona probably for 20-25 years a man seen it he bought it I got it from him a few months later it's a four-speed air condition model only has 14,235 Mi on it and that's the reason I went underneath the clean everything Arizona is kind of a dry State I don't think the car said in snow all I had to do was wire brush things underneath with the drill and repaint and reseal everything made it beautiful.

This is super helpful. I have a 78 (pace car vetsion) that needs those short rubber fuel lines replaced - I've been dreading trying to do it alone - when you put yours back on did u do it with the tank partly down or all the way up in place? (I don't see how I could get my hand in there) Great help even if you did the vid later

my 81 vette has not been used since 1990… so I thought of dropping the tank and clean it. no doubt is a long process.

Do I need to put anything on the vent threads of the gas tank .. the vent T that threads into the gas tank?

Can you tell me where in the frame the 2 rubber hoses meet the metal lines ? Thanks

Thanks for the tips, they are in fact helpful. It would be cool to see the process on screen but it sounds like you were using three of your two hands as it is. Can the tank come out without removing the exhaust? Also, and maybe I missed it, were you installing a new tank or just pulling the tank to check its integrity?

I have a 1980 Corvette my fuel sender is underneath the gas filler lid on the top of the back of the car you do not have to tank the tank out you do not have to remove the exhaust system I've had mine out because I've cleaned and repaired everything under there painted body deadner that kind of replacement those straps he's talking about I put new new webbing in there replace the old but my tank does not need to come out it's all done on the top and I've noticed on some of these videos they say they're think they're all the same through the c3s again mine is underneath the filler door.

c3 does not have catalytic converters 74 this is all wrong for a 74 vent is on passenger side

This doesn’t show me how to get the tank filler neck lined up with the fuel door … get a go pro and record the process … talking about it doesn’t help … thanks
