Here's one on how to create a quick ripple effect in Cinema 4D that you can add to just about anything. It's particularly effective at making your Statues of David extra ＡＥＳＴＨＥＴＩＣ:

04:48 - Adding ripples with the Formula Deformer
05:55 - Adding ripples with a Plain Effector
06:38 - Activating Deformation on the MoGraph effector.
07:07 - Making Dave buffer & grumpier
07:29 - Controlling the ripples with the falloff.

08:32 - Animating the ripples
10:53 - Making the ripples go all over David's body
12:09 - Making the ripples loop perfectly

I'm creating tutorials as well, so I'm interested in your style of narration. Do you have any good tips for creating a good voice-over? Do you record the voice-over at the same moment of your screen recording, or after the screen recording in post?

Get a good mic. Talk at a good pace, not too fast or slow. You could do either, but recording after gives you much more choice. You can edit your video without losing audio, and you can write a script to make things really polished.

What plugins do you use in c4d? Or essential plugins that you wish you knew starting out?

C4D comes ready to party or work (whatever). You can find all C4D plugins with a simple google search. However, if i was to suggest something, i'd say look for droptofloor (time saving/handy), reeper (for ropes, etc...), and meshboolean (for combining geometry, etc...). Suggested plugins are for your day to day modelling tasks. For the higher end stuff, i'd recommend X-particles (for awesome particle creation), Arnold or C4DtoA (for material creation, rendering, etc...). Like i mentioned before, C4D already does all this stuff right out of the box, but once you settle in and looking to speed up your workflow, then some of these plugins should be considered. Cheers!

I started out with the Mastering Arnold Renderer for Cinema 4D by Inlifethrill: inlifethrill.com/mastering-arnold-cinema-4d-bundle/ If you have the money for it it's great. Introduces all the major bits, and if you have experience with any other renderer that's probably enough to get you going on your own.

About a year ago or so i have sworn to myself i will buy your cource if you are teaching any, even if i will have to sell my kidneys. And here we go... This ripple technique unfortunately does not work with the fields, as there is no way to edit the spline for the falloff.

If you add a Spherical Field (for example), then under Contour set the mode to Curve you've got the same settings as in the olden days.
