C6 hatch button not working

Күн бұрынWhen I bought my C6, they only thing not working was the exterior hatch release button.
I started troubleshooting the problem and ultimately found the rear hatch switch extremely dirty.
A little time taking it apart and cleaning did the trick!
So, if you have a C6 and the rear hatch button is not working, start by removing and cleaning the switch!!

It works! A 15 minute easy job thx to you! I previously watched so many “other” videos that focused on swapping out the old switch with a new. I fortunately stumbled onto this refurbish/rebuild and figured why not try it before spending $50. How your video isn’t the top video with the most views on the topic, I don’t understand 🤷🏻♂️. I owe you a beer if you’re ever passing through N.Florida 🍻

So you never need to go inside the trunk and remove the panel to gain access , just the tail light?

Have you ever seen a car with no locking thing right above the license plate? I just bought my car and it’s not there

No I have not. Do you have the electric button and missing the key lock? My guess would be rear bumper was replaced and that was forgotten

@@maintainersgarage nope I found a button on Amazon but can’t find the keylock anywhere yet. That’s kinda what I’m thinking too

@@dannyunger1618 contact a dealer. I am almost sure that would be the place to get it. Also, they would be able to tell you all the parts you could be missing. You are the only person i know of that had those things missing
