I disagree. A few weeks ago I was in Gaithersburg Maryland at I believe the third largest Corvette dealer in the country and they had probably 15 or 20 C8s on the lot, half of them sold and all were marked up a bit though. However dealers' lots are aren't empty cuz :)

Idk how it's obvious. I would argue that it's more evident that they won't be coming down very much at all. The reason this car made so many headlines and still is, is the value this car brings for what your getting. No competitor came close to it with its price tag, but manufactures don't get the decision on what something is worth, the market does and always will. I think the market has clearly shown what we value this car at and the wait list is continuing to grow, not shrink even with supply increasing. I think people are just wishful thinking because they are "waiting to get a deal " but IMO they will be waiting forever. I talk to my local dealership regularly, they get 10 -15 new vettes in every week and sell them all the day they arrive for 30k over, no questions asked.

Your entire argument is based on C8 offering so much compared to other premium brands. You are basing your point on taste, which can change quickly as time passes. C7 offered so much bang for buck as well. Look how much I got one for 3 years ago. There is simply too much supply coming in the years ahead, with Z06/ZR1/Zora rendering the Stingray a nobody. Performance wise, the C8 stingray is a one trick pony. Only good at launches and nothing else. Handling grip did not improve from C7 despite "mid engine" layout and 305 rear tires. 200 lbs heavier. Not dominant at roll racing. Lap times barely improved over C7 Z51. M4 and M3 can compete with it. M Comp with or without X drive will beat it for similar or less market pricing of 2021. How much do you want to bet on your claims? Easy to make a claim based on raw emotions when you have not wagered anything in case you are wrong. I am a Vette fan, but blind is what I am not.

There's a dealership here in Greenville, SC that regularly has multiple unsold C8s sitting in their showroom with around $15-$20k markups. They seem to move them within a week or two, but they'd be sold same day at sticker price. The dealers around me are the same. I called the 3 biggest corvette dealers in the US yesterday and they said the same. It should be interesting to see how this plays out.

I doubt that they will get their allocation filled. For those 'waiting' for the new Z06. Not every dealer will be able to get their hands on the new Z06. Only 10,000 will be made a year (if they can get the chips).

Yeah the funny thing is used C6 and C7s are also up 20 to 40% thanks to money printer go burr. No end in sight but my real estate is making more than ever so I guess it all works out :) Now that I'm in my mid 30s I can more than afford all these cars but I want them less than I did in my twenties. That's ironic.
