I believe these mods, inclusive of the ECU flash equate to a warranty that is rendered null and void ... I love my C8. I also love my warranty.

The straight cut whine made it sound like there's something wrong. The C8 ProCharger kits start at $15k I'm sure the install and ECU tune is another $5k.For the price of a used C6, I want something more than what sounds like a kazoo connected to the intake.

My concern is the DCT in the C8. I know GM upgraded the one in Z06 to handle the extra hp. Not talking trying to run drag radials or such, just dependability with a daily driver/occasional road course outing scenario.

Fact checks, After having the package for a several weeks, I am more than pleased on the performance of this package. The mention of straight cut gearset is inaccurate...I ordered and recieved the helical gearset and they have quieted down into a most pleasing experience when running through the paces. I hear the great notes of the AWE exhaust along with the whine of the SC reminding me there is a lot of power to be had The car is fast and I should mention the throttle mangement to help elimnate any delay in the throttle by wire which adds another positive experience to the whole affair. The startup was one of the first without the gearset being run in too much. Also all of the insulation and deck lid open that is all you heard however, this has setlled in nicely and I have come to really like it. When going through the back roads with trak and sport setting the sound is incredible running in the 3000 - 5000 rpm range. When it comes alive it's so pleasing to hear and just keeps pulling all the way upwards of 160mph. If needed, I'll upgrade to performance clutch offerings currently on the market. I came from a GTR tuned to 700 whp and I like this platform but each has it's own offerings. Enjoy them for what they are !! It's a great passion to have !

Performance numbers? 1/4 mile documented time and speed? Missing? Why? DCT won't hold that much torque for long. without new clutches. Half shafts? BOOM goes warranty and probably followed soon by DCT and engine. If you want to do this suggest you build the engine - buy new half shafts and modify DCT - - what is the cost? C8 ZO6 has a warranty and is very fast. Any real comparison will run one of these after market jobs against a C8 Z06 on a drag strip and a road course. Congrats to Trifecta for cracking ECU - great achievement.

I am glad that the base can be built finally. It is safer to build in terms of balance. The Z06 is cool, but I don't see a motor that can make a lot more power just because it is much harder to balance.

Pro charged E-ray should make some Hypercars sweat.

My c6 z06 built makes 614hp and 530tq at the wheels. I will wait a few years to see what the new ones can really do. More importantly who makes the most reliable kits. I am positive they will really get these unlocked in the next 2-3 years.

I’m shocked that one of the big supercharger companies isn’t offering an electric supercharger or electric compressors that could be wedged into the valley. It looked from the video the air cleaner was sitting over top of the cat, for a “little “ preheating of the air intake charge thus the true need for the intercooler, still this is I think the first supercharger for the C8, thus kudos to Procharger

So, after the re-flash of the PCM: Since GM is running update by internet on these cars, how is that dealt with? Does Trifecta disable this function? And if so, do they only disable the engine control updates, but leave the BCM updates enabled so we still get those? What about the TCM updates, does Trifecta tweak the TCM so the dual-clutch plays nicer with the bigger torque? And if that is the case, same question has the GM update by internet been disabled for the TCM as well?

Idk. I don’t think the piggyback works and have been severely disappointed. $26000 for a procharger kit and my c8 only makes 580whp. Was told by procharger that’s about what I should expect but they said 660? I’m not the only one. They’re lying about what the kit makes

It’s a shame the kit doesn’t integrate some sort of cold air intake with their kit. Lots of HP loss through breathing in all that hot air from the engine compartment. I had a Procharger on my 99 Cobra and never did like the whining noise.

This is another car not putting out the power Procharger is claiming. And I don’t think it has to do with the installers. I also want to know what exactly is being flashed to these ECU because non port injected TT systems capable of 1k HP put out this roughly this same amount.

Since you had the engine partially disassembled, surprised you didn’t consider a ported heads/cam upgrade. Magnussen makes a quieter unit that sits in top of the engine. Lingenfelter did one. Did you guys do a road test? The power increase is amazing. 👍

Drivetrain losses are not fixed numbers. You should not assume the same absolute loss figure of the stock car for the modified one. To keep it simple, think of driveline losses as consisting of two different components: Inertial: This is the energy required to bring the mass of the drivetrain to peak rotational speed. It is a "fixed" value. As long as the mass of the rotating parts doesn't change, and you bring them up to the same RPM, the energy absorbed is "fixed", and is not a function of the HP being transmitted. Frictional: Energy is lost to friction in bearings and gear surfaces. The friction loss is roughly proportional to the loads being transmitted. Double the torque and you double the forces acting on gear faces and bearings. So frictional losses are directly proportional to torque/HP. To summarize, the crank power for the procharged car is higher than 670hp.
