2024 c8 z06 gets strapped to dyno to compare stock with cat deletes to cat deletes with soler performance ported throttle bodies. Results may surprise you.

One correction. Porting price is 550 not 350 as stated in video. (Thats for two throttle bodies)I paid 700 for new ones and misremembered the cost for sending yours in.

Good stuff!! Those Throttle Bodies impressed the heck out of me! I can’t wait to get a set on my car. NO ONE has put these numbers up publicly yet! Thank you! So many people on the fence but I bet they sell a lot of them now…….. those are legit numbers

Only variable I can think of is I drove 1.5 hours to the shop but there was a decent amount of cooldown time . Cool down time for swap was probably an hour it took to swap them but I’m sure heat quickly became the same after one pass. I honestly expected higher base numbers but they remained consistent.

i posted earlier but did not see baseline before any mods.. only after cats delete, do you consider this your baseline as it would be good to know if cat delete did anything.. most are hitting 560 to 590 with honest dyno numbers from over a dozen i have seen @@Brandonsgarages

Brandon, That's great information for sure! I've been considering these TB and a CAI from JLT too. The Eventuri is nice, but mine is a driver with luggage and travel gear, so I'd be afraid of scratching the cover up 😏 Looking forward to seeing DBM Racings stuff and your next mods! BTW... Car seat is 5HP gains in my book 🫡 -Shane

what was base dyno BEFORE any mods.. i did not see any base pull.. only cat and throttle body.. from everythin i have seen around 15 at best.. fereday at lmr got average 10.. crazy money for 10hp..dyno base number been everywhere for 560 to 590 on smoothing 5. my speed shop did corsa on last z06 and they got best number i have seen on a hi flow 400 cell cat.. if it was anybody else i would call bs but i know the tuner and he don,t play with numbers- average 572 baseline on 3 pulls....Corsa Performance High Flow Cats 👀 596WHP & 419TQ, up 24HP & 19TQ from our baseline runs!

I do not have baseline runs only 1/8 mile passes post deletes. I have a friend w a car built a week before mine and his baseline numbers on same dyno but different day were similar . He made more on the same dyno same day baseline w catback than I did w deletes which makes me think the factory catback is a restriction.

You can see his pulls on same dyno . Dbmracing is channel name he has stock and cat back numbers prior to that day and duplicates the catback numbers that same day I was there.

actually over 600 is highest i have seen on smoothing5 dyno.. but i agree with most out there that cats do not rob much if any hp . fereday at lmr did 400cel cat back and average 10hp and 6 tq.. not worth all that work and 4k for such small gain.. imo.. but saw you are doing the jlt for 700 and that looks promising.hopefully the cat delete doesen,t cause cel code..will look to see how the jlt performs. mid band looks good and need to do baseline before and after on smae day.. this would be crucial to real world numbers.. 15hp gain overall and possibly more in middle.. this is what i am looking for,, good luck@@Brandonsgarages

yea, actually it needs to be same car.. my shop has hot 3 on same day and similar temps with no mods . 1-566.. another 572.. anothe 586.. all 3 had cool downs to get average hp..so really need to stick with your car and has nothing to do with what your buddy dyno.. c5 camaro ls3 ran 380rwhp and another 1 hr later ran 365.. all 3 were stock.. @@Brandonsgarages

Biggest benefit is 4 lbs savings per wheel and correct offset to fill fenders. They are really hard to capture on film but I prefer them to stock. Now the z07 carbon wheel design is a diff story I prefer that design.

@Brandonsgarages yeah, 4 pounds weight savings may be of benefit racing professionally, but I didn't find any difference in performance between my CFTP GT500 and my previous track edition GT500. I also really like the style of my stock z06 wheels for how I intend to drive it, but of course, to each their own.

@@cantdriveslo that’s interesting . I figured some performance gain at even just a 16 lb difference. I don’t road race it yet more of a drag guy . I know it all adds up in the end but interesting to know that you didn’t see a difference. Probably like you said with a pro it’s a different story.
