🥣 Ingredients:
2 sweetheart cabbages
5oz | 150g | 3/5 cup white beans (Cannellini Beans)
olive oil
Seasoning:
Salt
Black pepper
Italian dried herbs
🥣 Cabbage topping ingredients:
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1tbsp harissa paste
1tbsp tomato paste
1tbsp miso paste
1tbsp paprika
1tbsp dried Italian herbs
🧑‍🍳Cooking tips:
ℹ️ Feel free to add your favourite herbs and spices to the recipe to get your favourite flavour.
ℹ️ You can substitute sweetheart cabbages for a regular cabbage.
ℹ️ White beans (Cannellini Beans) alternatives includeGreat Northern Beans, Butter Beans, Red Kidney Beans and Navy Beans.
ℹ️ You can use canned beans instead of dried beans.

are you sure that beans take only 30 min after boiling. no way .even if I soak them with water and vinegar overnight, it takes me 2 HOURS cooking to get the dry beans white or red ,done and fully soft.2 hours !.

Had a go at this & what a surprise, very simple & the flavours were amazing. 20 minutes were not enough, still raw on the prick test, so added more oil & cooked for another 20 minutes. The burnt bits really added to the overall flavour.

It looks great. My husband cannot eat tomato paste and I can't eat paprika. I usually don't add many spices to my food because it burns my stomach except for salt and pepper and a few herbs and my food is good enough for me

I made it tonight 🎉 I used one cabbage, I burnt it slightly 😮 I used 1 dessert spoon of harrissa and it was a bit too spicy for me so I'll play with the sauce next time and perhaps add a little less HP and more TP, it was a little dry so I added water randomly. My husband absolutely loved it🎉😊 so that was a plus plus for me ❤ Thank you for your super amazing recipes 💕

There are so many oil free cooking channels for vegans. Just search for vegan oil free recipes and you'll find them. Healthyveganeating is a good one.

Hello Amy and thank you for watching my video! 🌷 Most of my recipes can be made oil-free. For this recipe instead of oil you can add some water to the baking tray so the cabbage cooks well and does not burn. I live in UK and harissa paste is available in large supermarkets or oriental food stores. It also widely available online. I love Harissa paste, it's so delicious. Sweetheart cabbage also known as cone, Pointed cabbage , hispi or sugarloaf cabbage is a type of cabbage with a tapering shape and large delicate leaves varying in colour from yellowish to blue-green. It tastes less pronounced and more delicate than common white cabbage. You can use a regular cabbage for this recipe if sweetheart cabbage is not available where you live. Thanks for watching! No. Amazon is the best place unless you live in a large City with an Asian grocery store like H-Mart. I've also seen it in Natural Grocers here in Denver.

Hola Gloria y gracias por ver mi video! 🌷 Originaria de Túnez, la harissa es una salsa o pasta de chile hecha típicamente de chiles rojos secos, ajo, cítricos, aceite de oliva virgen extra y algunas especias calientes como comino, cilantro y semillas de alcaravea. Se utiliza mucho en la cocina del norte de África y Oriente Medio como condimento, o se mezcla con agua o jugo de tomate para dar sabor a guisos, sopas o cuscús. En el norte de África, a veces también se sirve en un charco de aceite de oliva, para mojar. Como es fuerte y picante, un poco es suficiente. Si nunca antes has probado esta salsa picante, tiene un sabor muy picante y ahumado y puede variar en niveles de picante, dependiendo de los pimientos y chiles que componen la salsa. También tiene un fuerte sabor a ajo que se alegra con un toque cítrico. Puede obtener Harissa en línea o en supermercados más grandes, dependiendo de dónde viva. Хари́сса, также ари́сса - острый пастообразный соус красного цвета из перца чили (иногда высушенного или вяленого) и чеснока с добавлением кориандра, зиры, соли и оливкового масла. Харисса - острый перечный соус-приправа, активнее всего используется в кухнях стран Магриба, например, в тунисской (где он самый острый, кстати) и ливанской, а также в Израиле, Турции и некоторых других странах. В наши дни она стала популярным ингредиентом современной кухни, вне зависимости от региона, так как обладает выраженным перечным вкусом, но более богатым, чем, например, азиатские соусы чили, потому что готовится обязательно с добавлением печёного сладкого перца. Хариссу добавляют в другие соусы (например, в основу шакшуки), тушёные блюда, супы для остроты, а также используют менее острые варианты как дип, чтобы макать в него кусочки лепёшки. Для приготовления хариссы острый перец, чеснок и приправы измельчаются в ступке или при помощи блендера, а затем доводятся до нужной консистенции добавлением оливкового масла. Иногда в пасту добавляют томаты, уксус, мяту, лимонный сок или оливки. Более дорогой вариант хариссы - «розовая харисса» - содержит лепестки розы. В Тунисе хариссу подают практически к каждому приёму пищи в качестве закуски, часто вместе с оливками и тунцом. Соус используют не только в супах, мясных и рыбных блюдах, подают к кускусу, рису и макаронным изделиям, но порой и на бутербродах к завтраку. В Европе хариссу чаще всего подают к рису, пасте и пицце. Харисса продаётся в супермаркетах в небольших консервных банках, тубах и стеклянных баночках (иногда в форме порошка).

Practically any beans will cook in 30 minutes in you soak them in water overnight prior to cooking as per my recipe. The white beans (cannellini beans) I use for the recipe cook perfectly. Have a nice day! 🌞 😊

Please follow the recipe and my video as you probably missed my cooking instructions 😊 As per the recipe you need to soak beans overnight (8 hours) and then cook them for 30 minutes. It's not 5 minutes cooking. Soaking lentils in water softens does the following: ✅ Soaking beans significantly reduces its cooking time. ✅ Soaking beans improves digestion and nutrition absorption as it neutralise. I like this idea but could do the whole thing in one cast iron skillet with glass lid, probably in one-third the time it took you. (It might not look as pretty, but would taste the same.) I just can't spend a lot of time when hungry, with no help. Also, FAR less dish-washing is important all around. It's also important to grow your own cabbage or find trustworthy organic. That one looks too flawless and sprayed with insecticides. Many thanks. I much prefer an English narration on all videos, because I sometimes watch from bed (and can't read subtitles) or while in the kitchen, listening only. Thanks again. I've been vegetarian for twenty-plus years.

I would have appreciated some written or oral instructions about how long to heat the mixture of garlic, red onion. There was no indication of how much time that should take or what to look for that would indicate it was done.

It's the same as for every other recipe in which garlic and onions are used. About 4 - 5 mins for the onions and about 2 mins for garlic. They don't cook any differently in this recipe 😂
