🥣Filling ingredients:
240g | 8.5oz | 1 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas (1 can)
1tsp cumin seeds
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
zest of 1 lemon
1tbsp dairy-free parmesan cheese (optional)
salt to taste
10g | 3tbsp parsley
🥣 Dough ingredients:
100g |4oz| 2/3 cup plain flour
50g |2oz|1/3 cup chickpea flour
1/2tsp baking powder
90ml | 3oz | 2/5 cup dairy-free milk
1tbsp oil
🧑‍🍳Cooking tips:
❗Feel free to add your favourite herbs and spices to the recipe to get your favourite flavour.
❗Instead of salsa sauce you can have it with dairy-free yoghurt or any of your favourite dip.
🥣 Method:
Mash 240g | 8.5oz | 1 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas (1 can)
Heat a little oil in a skillet.
Add 1tsp cumin seeds, 1 chopped onion and 2 finely chopped garlic cloves.
Grate 1 lemon zest and add to the pan.
Add the mixture to mashed chickpeas.
Add 1tbsp dairy-free parmesan cheese (optional).
Season with pinch of salt or to taste.
Chop 10g | 3tbsp parsley and add to the mixture.
Mix until well combined.
Add 100g | 4oz | 2/3 cup plain flour to a mixing bowl.
Add 50g | 2oz | 1/3 cup chickpea flour, 1/2tsp baking powder and 90ml | 3oz | 2/5 cup dairy-free milk.
ℹ️You can use any dairy-free milk you have and enjoy.
Knead the dough.
Add 1tbsp oil.
Knead lightly for a couple minutes.
ℹ️The dough should be a little bit moist. You can help it with a little dusting of flour but be careful not to add too much flour.
Cover and let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
Roll the dough into a 28cm|11 inch circle and 5mm |0.2 inch thick.
Place chickpeas mixture in centre of dough circle.
Roll gently into an even circle.
Place in a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
Brush with oil, flip to other side and cook until golden brown.
Cut into wedges, serve with salsa, dairy-free yogurt or the dip sauce you enjoy the most.

Oh how I love these silent peaceful cooking demonstrations 😊 It’s so easy to gather all the information I need to be able to make this dish, and with just the gentle sounds of someone mashing, brushing, rolling and cooking food. It’s such a joy, and so easy on my brain (I have neurological condition which makes it stressful to read or to hear human voice when overlaid with loud dance music - and I like music!) You’ve made an innovative stuffed paratha, which I’m sure is delicious. I love the addition of lemon zest! I usually stuff mine with a spiced potato mixture, tomatoes and onions, or mixed vegetables with tame chilies. I think you can put any stuffing inside that you like and it will be tasty. But I cannot roll mine out as perfectly as you can. Mine may taste good, but they aren’t exactly pretty. I was distracted by the cutest, most perfect baby red onion I’ve ever seen. I would still be able to eat it, but darn, it was adorable. Tut, Loki, and Thor say hi to Lancy. He looks very comfy and cozy in his napping place.

Every single time I see Lancy up against the golden blanket my jaw drops by her beauty. How amazing her fur and eyes look with the gold. This meal looked so delicious but 'unfortunately' for me, I'm a lazy cook and I have a thing about touching food too much as in kneading. Plus three of the ingredients that are called for I've never had in my home, meaning I never use them. Too bad for me because this looked really yummy.

It’s actually a western take on Indian stuffed bread called paratha. They are delicious and can be made with potato, spinach, peas, and mixed vegetables, to name a few. They are delicious!

Hola hoy me suscribi porque me gusta mucho los vídeos cortos y su recetas además es la única que pone todo en gramos oz. Y tazas eso me ayuda mucho porque yo no tengo una pesa de gramos soy Mexicana viviendo en Alabama USA Feliz año.
