Loved every minute of this . I have done the journey. Interlaken - Spiez-Brig a few times . Never tire of the run down the side of the Rhône valley . Now of course there is the base tunnel but I hope there are still trains in the Goppentein Kandersteg section

What a ride, the visuals were outstanding, and not a whining kid or grumbling passenger to be endured along the way!

Seems strange to me that there is advertising on this video. That must mean, you filmed it yourself?

Tolle Videoaufnahme!

Very nice video, one question, though, I was wondering why no lights in tunnels, or on the trains themselves? When we/you and I come to a tunnel it's like looking at a picture of a black cat in a coal bin at midnight. Just a funny saying. Can anyone help me out? Thanks for making the video, it's Great !
@johnkrols79747 жыл бұрын
There is nothing to be seen in a tunnel, just the wall 2 feet from the windows. And the driver doesn't need to steer and simply has to watch his light emitting instrument panel and the light at the end of the tunnel.

This train seems to be going almost too fast through the mountains...unless this video was filmed with a wide-angle lens that exaggerates distances.

Interesting how much speed this train have in mountain walley part and in plains around 1:05:00?

What makes that river run almost white at the beginning of the video? I thought that Switzerland had strict environmental standards and regulations.

John Bastille that is pure glacier water.
@johnbastille54836 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Simon. I realized later in the video and also after seeing other videos from the Swiss Alps region that the water contained large amounts of glacial minerals.

Do all these train engineers wear night vision goggles??? or do they think the camera haws night vision...???this is the 7th or 8th one I watched and they all not turn on the head lights going through pitch black tunnels....

Why turn on the lights when all you have to do is aim for that small patch of light at the end of the tunnel? (Runs away before the people who don't get the joke can tell me "how trains really work") :D
@MrMosiKing5 жыл бұрын
You can see enough without lights because of the instrumental lights in there.

The word is spelled 'contrails', describing a natural result of high-altitude flight dating back to the 1940s. 'Chemtrails' are a ridiculous conspiracy theory.
