I can’t help but wonder if maybe we’re all secretly pasta lovers at heart? ☺️ Let me take you on a little trip to Italy, as I share my favorite Italian ‘minimalist’ spaghetti, ‘Cacio e Pepe’! ‘Cacio e Pepe’ literally translates to ‘cheese and pepper’ cuz that’s all you’ll need to make this!
This pasta dish was my go-to student meal in Europe cuz it’s soooo quick and easy to make, with only three to five ingredients and 20 minutes cooking time!
Here’s what you need!
* 500 g spaghetti 🍝
* 200 ml olive oil
* 1 tablespoon smashed whole black peppercorns or ground black pepper
* 200g freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese or Parmigiano Regiano (Parmesan) Cheese... or both! 🧀
* Half a slice of lemon 🍋
****Optional: Chili flakes if you like it spicy!

This is why I admire KC kahit ano pang bad press ng mga chismosang beki. She worked even as a student to supplement her cost of living in Paris. She valued education and does not speak ill of anyone kahit na puro masasakit at malisyoso ang sinasabi tungkol sa kanya. Kill them with kindness. Hindi porke maingay at maboka, tama na agad. Wag makinig sa mga chismosa.

I always have Pecorino Romano in my fridge. It's what makes everything yummy, I reckon. No one should run out of parmesan either 👍👍👍 That's true with freshly grounded black pepper. I swear by my Peugeot grinder! It's worth the expense...

@@joyu1847 masasabi mo yan sa mga common folks pero iba si KC. Sure she can be influenced by social/cultural environment but she had a choice to be totally dependent on her financially capable parents, they can support her if she wanted to live in Europe, or for that matter, any foreign country of her choice, instead she chose not to fully depend on her parents (I think they still partly provide for her when she was still a student) and partially support herself by working. For a rich girl nakakabilib nga naman.

Add pancetta or bacon to it (and add bacon grease to the olive oil) and it'll taste even more wonderful. But that recipe alone is scrumptious and is a lot healthier. Definitely making this for the weekend. Thank you, KC.

Hi kc..thank you for sharing this recipe. I tried making this today. just a small portion to let my husband try...because I thought my husband would tell me, what kind of SIMPLE SPAGHETTI you were making.(YOU KNOW WHAT SIMPLE MEAN IN SLANG😊..) but instead I'm surprise hahaha my husband like it. Just for additional infromation, Parmigiano-Reggiano or Parmesan is named after the producing areas, the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia in Italy.

FYI: But it is wrong to refer to it as "PARMESAN"... Please read www.allrecipes.com/article/parmesan-vs-parmigiano-reggiano-vs-grana-padano/ so that you will know the diff. between AUTHENTIC ITALIAN cheeses Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano against the american made parm---Parmesan.

In fact these cheeses are sold in Italy with a DOP seal with it... (Denominazione di Origine Protetta or PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN)
