Chris this was my absolute childhood. My best friend at the time and i would just repeatedly binge your videos and then grab our own nerf guns and act out our own ridiculous stories. I still have a closet full of nerf guns that i use from time to time to shoot it out with my roommate.

Also I really like this sort of retrospective that you're doing with your old Nerf videos, especially with a lot of the hindsight critique as well. It's very insightful.

I'm so happy that you keep moving forward with your aspirations, but also revisit your older days and tell us stories about how your ideas came to fruition. I remember first watching Nerf Gun Zombie Apocalypse and having a blast with it precisely because of its more personal and mature tone compared to previous Nerf videos. Luckily I was 9-10 at the time so I couldn't see its awkwardness :D I still love Zombie Apocalypse exactly because it was a needed mess to go from simple akshun&violans&nerf to something more character-driven. I also realize it is partly responsible for motivating me to film a zombie movie I made with my friend a few years later (Zombie Apocalypse is a masterpiece compared to it though lol)

A bit late here, but I just wanted to say how cool this is. Your videos (the nerf ones) were what originally got me interested in youtube, and as I got a bit older, your gaming channel got me into videogames more, and then into films and filmmaking. It’s been so cool to see you grow and change and watching the development from a fellow “kid with a camera and a dream” into a full-fledged filmmaker, has been really interesting. Keep it up, man! EDIT: Also, would you ever consider making a “reboot” of the zombie movies. Obviously not with nerf guns, but I’d be curious to see you retool or just completely re-make new concepts and scripts for a zombie movie/miniseries

Really solid video, it's interesting to hear your thoughts on the non-war Nerf videos. Personally would love to see a more in depth look at the 10 things trilogy, and also the Arena series if you think that would make a good video. I had forgotten that the Saw Parody existed, especially since when I was a kid I hadn't seen Saw, and thus didn't really get the video, or the meta commentary. Watching now it's really good, both as a nerf video and as a parody. Final 10 Things is still hands down my favorite video that you did. It served as a fitting end to both that series and your nerd videos as a whole, and really showed off everything you had done up to that point in an amusing and enjoyable way. I'm planning to watch We're not safe here tonight or tomorrow, been busy with finishing up school but looking forward to it.

Nerf Arena: The four seasons is and likely always will be my favorite of ALL your Nerf vids. Final 10 things is very close… it might even tie. The music for four seasons alone is what sold it for me. Especially Gather of The Clans, listening to that song was like an otherworldly experience for me. I can’t tell you how many times I rewatched the video just to hear that song. However I think ALL of the music in this video was good, and used well. The music where you’re fighting Grant is another highlight. As for the fighting and the choreography, it was extremely well done. Sure there’s a bit of a stretch with how much damage you and Camden took, but it never bothered me too much. Of course the revenge of the sith reference is also an instant win. I swear 70% of the comments on that video were pointing that out 😂 The ending of the video also stands out to me. Moving from four seasons to final 10 things… final 10 things was a perfect conclusion to the Nerf Era. Every joke and idea landed perfectly for me. The montage at the end hits me in the feels every time. Since I mentioned the music in 4 seasons with such praise, I felt I’d give my thoughts on it here. The music used throughout the 10 things trilogy, that guitar riff; it is downright iconic. At least it is to me, cause whenever I think of this channel; I always hear that music in my head. If you go about doing in depth reviews of your old videos, Four seasons and Final 10 things are what I absolutely MUST see! Random thought, could you imagine if you managed to shoot four seasons in the rain? :3 I’m an absolute sucker for fight scenes in the rain. Chris if your wondering how Nerf is doing now not so good as you may know The N-Striek Elite series happened they were reskins of old blasters but upgraded in 2013 the zombie strike series and mega series happened which was pretty innovative and stuff and then in 2015 the rival series happened which was a pretty major thing in the hobby forever the rival blasters themselves were much more powerful and accurate and fired yellow balls after that the accustrike series happened where nerf made blasters with accurate darts however there was one problem nerf was making reskins of the same thing and their creativity was running out and now in 2019 Dart zone has now become the #1 blaster brand
