Managers for esports personalities(players, streamers, coaches, etc.) are there typically to handle paperwork and look for opportunities(sponsorship deals, collabs, etc.) in exchange for a usually industry standard percentage. They dont make the decisions, they just handle all the talking and negotiating for their client. Management is a big thing in esports(mainly to not get scammed and cancelled) and while not entirely necessary, not all esports personalities are well versed with the business end of this market.
