This form of communication is called "parasocial interaction" which means concretely that I assume that Cari notices me and I feel like we have some sort of interaction even though we actually haven't. But Cari answered to one of my comments once (which was unexpected and made me feel excited 😆) so I guess in that case it can't be called "parasocial interaction" anymore because she actually noticed me 🤔 That phenomenon happens a lot on social media though...(people feeling like they are noticed by influencers)

Living in Seoul or anywhere in Korea would be absolutely dreaaamy, it’s one of my dreams to live there, even for a couple of years. I really like watching your videos bc I get a sense of the vibes in different neighbourhoods and sightseeing spots and the way you introduce them gives these places a rose tinted glow, makes me all the more excited for when I finally experience Korea for myself someday. It’s nice, feels like being shown around by a friend:) I hope this excitement and happiness of seeing Seoul and Korea in a fresh light will last a long time for you!

when you were talking about your feelings, coming to Seoul for the first time, such a wave of nostalgia rushed over me, i remember walking in Hongdae the evening i arrived, that special Seoul air, all stores blasting Kpop, all the ads with idols, the foods that i dreamed of eating, feeling so happy seeing hangeul writings everywhere and being able to read them, having korean bbq with friends, being immediately over-influenced by Korean fashion and makeup style....;D good times. so happy for you to be able to feel some special part of your life experience coming to life again

Thank you so much for these videos. The weather here hasn't been that good (last week 35°C+, now really cloudy and rainy and only ~15°C) and I'm sitting inside a lot because of that. Your videos always motivate me to get going and explore, even if it's just my neighborhood. And fun fact: after nearly 1.5 years I'm also going on a trip again! Never been more excited for a trip. I'm visiting my best friend, who moved to Hamburg at the beginning of 2021, this weekend and I'm so ready to explore the city and finally seeing him again - and speaking with him in real life.

I totally understand what you mean. I think we take for granted all the beautiful things we are gifted with just because we know they'll always be here. As a result, we fail to value them and give them the love they deserve. But honestly, just looking at the passing clouds, the sunrise, and the sunset is what I love to do the most. It's actually a gift to be able to enjoy small moments every day because you can be happy almost all the time.

Having dessert for all of your meals sounds like a food challenge that you could replicate in a future video: breakfast of blueberry muffin and coffee, mid-day snack/lite lunch of banana & honey croissant and beverage, and dinner of roasted sweet potato with giant red-bean mochi and a side of fried tofu.

As a Korean, I'm just so happy to know that you feel joy just by knowing that you live in Seoul -- it truly brings warmth and hope to my heart. I still remember moving to Seoul as well, it was only for 3 months but for the first time in my life I felt like an adult. I knew I could do anything, and discovering something by myself such as culture and meeting new people, was so refreshing. To this day South Korea still feel like my second home, and I can't wait until Corona is over and we can finally travel again! :')

MANGWON MARKET--cafes, everything about that area was a suprise for me. Having lived in Seoul for 7 years and 5 years in the HongDae neighborhood I never knew about that area. My Kiwi mate moved to 2 different rooftop apartments over a course of five years and i was able to enjoy that area during 3 of my biannual May holidays. He was the one who introduced me to the market and vast collection of cafes and working spaces. Even after he returned to NZ and i stopped by on my holidays and stayed with friends I still had to go on a day or two visit to that area. The only sad thing is that in that last years of Pres. Lee's tenure he really promoted food tours to tourists and the market was marked as "FOOD TOUR stop" along with Gwangjang Market it really destroyed the vibes. Over crowded with tourists, food quality dropping and above all higher prices. Enjoy ur time in Seoul≥

ok so... i was supposed to spend this year abroad work+travelling but then covid happened but it turns out that, even though it has been horrible, it has been somewhat of a blessing in disguise for me cause I am able to safe up a lot more money. but when covid hit I thought 'that's it, no more travelling' but your vlogs give me some hope and South Korea is on top of my list so ty for giving me something to binge-watch and get inspired by to make travelling plans again :)

I can’t wait for your study video!! I started self-studying Korean during covid as a for-fun project for myself. I love the code-breaking feeling it gives me to have started a language with a different alphabet. It just gives me great highs. I am almost all the way through Duolingos course but would love to see a perspective of someone further along. Your channel rock!

I am still new enough that just ordereing words in a sentence is a challenge and I get excited when I learn words where the visual concept is different from English (or Danish, my native language). My most recent favourite discovery is 불꽃 - Flame. I mean wow! It is literally fire-flower. I love that sooo much. I remember a video of yours where you realize something means bell. I love those moments
