Cafe Racer (Honda CX 500 / CX 650 by Racer TV/Oficina das Motas)

Finally, after 10 months, the end of my Honda CX 650 project.
This is the 5th and last episode about this build.
The motorcycle used on this project, is a Honda CX 650 Custom, but by technical purposes, i uncluded Honda CX500 on the video's Title.
Don't worry about the words "The End" on the video's Thumbnail.
Because there are little things that i will have to change on this Honda CX Cafe Racer.
From time to time, i am going to bring some new videos, in which i will clarify everything i learned during this build.
The builder of this beautiful machine, is Leonel Ribeiro, owner of "Oficina das Motas", located in Portugal.
The name of this Honda CX Cafe Racer, is Frankenstein.

I took your advice and played it again with top quality headphones. But also didn't watch it. I just listened and focused on the sound. And the difference was astonishing. Incredible build! One for the ages!

It's the best cafe racer, yet the HondaCX is a great platform to build on. It just looks so cool. 💯👍

@sgntbilco Thank you my friend for your kind comment. But here is an important tip. The CX 650 is much better than the CX 500. The 650 engine has a much more nervous temperament, whereas the 500 engine appears to be a "stuck" engine. :) Cheers.

I've been watching for years, and every time a CX showed up I thought...Eh...not my cup of tea. You turned what I viewed as an Ugly Duckling into a Beautiful Black Swan. Something I didn't think possible. The lines, the paint work, Aluminum (Aluminium) etc. All come together and have executed an absolute beauty. Congratulations Victor! Well deserved! Zip~

I saw it up close. Took photo's of it. She looks just as beautiful as she sounds. Amazing craftsmanship, and well though out design. Congrats my friend, on DGR, where the bikes are mostly custom, your's was clearly one of the best, and foi sure, the best CX i ever saw, end of story.

This is one of the greatest customs I have ever seen, if not the greatest. The sound, the sound, the sound of that thing is so compelling. I bought a custom Duc 695 that sounds very similar, just on the basis of this sound. Magic.

I discovered your videos about 2 months ago. I have a 83' cx-650 that I restored to original about 7 years ago but is now is in need of repairs again. Your video has given me new direction I would like to take with this bike. Thank you for the ideas.

HARD, looking machine...You have chosen the perfect name ..for this wonderful piece of art ..that you and your mechanic have created .This gorgeous machine matches you perfectly.I can see that this bike truly loves you.. if that makes any sense.. And it will take care of you, for as long, as you take care of it.. Do you remember that feeling we all had as kids on Christmas Day? hoping and praying.. that the toy we truly wanted was under the tree... and then opening the present, and finding that what we dreamt for was there?.. that feeling is something that is truly amazing... Iam inlove with cafe racer bikes and i have to say, this is the most iconic one I've seen thus far. The diablo custom made Royal Enfield continental360 and interceptor into cafe racers are not far behind. But just the build and the rawness of this one sets it apart. Loved the video, the bike, the sound etc. Thankyou for 16minute of pure authenticity and awesomeness❤

No matter how you customised the bike, his spirit is still living and roaring with pride and harmony. The roar gives an essence of the stories this bike had been through, the joy this bike has given. Linda! O assento ficou perfeito. O conjunto da moto é realmente como o frankestain. Olhando de perto cada detalhe faria diferente muita coisa porem o conjunto ficou perfeito, harmonico, simples. PARABENS!! Um projeto simples, elegante e inteligente. Volto a dizer o assento mudou a cara da moto estando ela sem ninguem sentado ou sozinho na estrada. God bless!

Congratulations on a beautiful, quality build. Probably the best CX I've laid eyes on. My only quibble, and it's only minor, the seat material and colour. But it's a gorgeous machine, and the exhaust note is epic!

Nice, perfect work. When I saw the steering I notice that there is no thank for the break fluid, cause I have the original Honda CX 500 , from 1978. After 23 years sitting in one room with sized engine, after so manny years I took action find a used engine in Iowa, send to Europe and restored the bike. CX 500 is my youth years lovely machine. In Germany they call the bike " Guelle pumpe", like Rose oil pump. I do not know how much it is gonna cost that work , really that bike is top of the line. 650 are rare not common like 500. I have Honda Valkyrie Touring 2003 , I've Suzuki Hayabusa 2001, custom with a lot of chrome, spikes , custom made ostrich leader seat, Yamaha Virago, Kawasaki Ninja 750 GPZR, but CX is my lovely bike cause is connected with a sweet memories. That way I did not, sale, did not scraped, just left sitting for 23 years. Once again the bike build by the Portuguese guys is impeccable type of classic Art. Congratulation.

I was surprised to learn that there were only ungefähr 275 CX 650's imported to Germany, but about 240 still registered!

À mais ou mandos e um ano tive a honra de conhecer o Sr. do recer tv . Na semana passada tive o prazer de conhecer a "Frankenstein"! Meus amigos ele está a ser modesto. A mota é um estrondo! Em 30 minutos ouvi 2 pessoas a perguntar se a mota sai assim de fábrica ou se ele tinha alterado alguma coisa. Já para não falar no som. Não há sistema de som que reproduza tal sinfonia... Vitor obrigado por fazeres videos assim. Parabéns pelo canal, parabéns pelo teu projecto, adoro a tua mota. 👏👏👏

RACER TV it was a heck of a motor, almost 60 hp stock, I have wanted to put pipes on one since 79’, I was 13 in 79’ so i couldn’t LOL but I knew it would be a classic the day it came out.
