Kante makes clean tackles, rarely needing to go to ground or slide… a true pick pocketer. Caicedo relies on his youth to make much more slide tackles; will need to evolve his game as he ages to have master craftsmanship/elegance of Kante.

What are you talking about? Tackle wise sure, but technique wise Caicedo is already superior to Kante. He can play as a 6 recycling possession or a box to box 8 with ease. His level of passing and comfort in possession is already better than what Kante had. Kante obviously the superior player in his prime, but Caicedo hasn’t reached his yet :)

@@Johnjosjohn690 Kante played with matured and proven players yes but let's be honest, he was Balon D'or worthy. Caicedo is good defensively but Kante' was also good in an attacking sense. Caicedo and Kudus was the only player I wanted so bad during the summer but glad we got Palmer he is better than I thought he would be

He looks like he’s better going forward and specifically at tackling than kante, but no one is like Kante on steroids. That dude is a workhorse and not only has full energy for 90 minutes, but is effective for 90 minutes

No, Prime Kante >>> Caicedo. Kante had a lot of pace which allowed him to make interceptions and tackles very quickly.

Chelsea fans don't appreciate how good he is. I get that kante was a club legend for you, but Caicedo is close to what a complete midfielder should be in 2023. I'm a United fan and I wish we had our ownership sorted to give him a go, he's verse and a great ball player, he can play as the sole dm and can play Lb, he's press resistant and has a goal or two on him, at 21 you have him for at least 10 years, he's too good, too too good.. I wish the deal fails, I just wish.

Kante is a absolute legend of the game I believe but I see more potential in this guy He's a crazy player wish United could get him but I can probably bet on the fact that we won't get him

I remember Brighton fans saying Bissouma was on the same level as Kante, now he's flopped at Spurs. Kante gets too much disrespect, he was Chelsea's best player in their CL win, Caicedo will never reach the level Kante reached where he carried Chelsea to a CL and Leicester to a PL.

He's 21, Kante's injuries had caught up with him, another season and you'd have had a liability you couldn't move on...Caicedo in that position is the next best thing at 25-28 he'll probably be the best in that position.

Caicedo looks very very good, but prime Kante was on another level imo. Caicedo will get better with time and still has space for improvement.

La verdad es que no le encuentro sentido a estas comparaciones de Caicedo con otros jugadores, pues veo que Caicedo se parece solamente a Caicedo, tiene pocos meses jugando en la Premier League, que es otro tipo de fútbol, diferente al de su lugar de origen y sin embargo se a adaptado muy bien y está considerado como uno de los mejores en su puesto. Este chico tiene que evolucionar mas todavía, recién tiene 21 años de edad y se nota que es su determinación aprender y aprender . Es ocioso hacer comparaciones ahora, considero que él se está formando un nombre y un propio concepto, subjetivo y personal, lo que si es claro, que el equipo que se lo lleve a sus filas, tendrá un excelente mediocampista, que servirá para los objetivos del club dueño de su pase...dentro de 2 o 3 años, allí digan si es mejor o peor de con quien quieran hacer la comparación, por ahora es necio todo eso. A este mi gran compatriota: El Niño Moi (Baby Moi), le auguro, porque así se vislumbra, un exitoso futuro en esta bella profesión, para él, su club y nuestra selección. Grazie.
