He was always class but was prone to making a dodgy pass that resulted in a counter attack. Idk what happened in the last 2 seasons he just completly got rid of this part of his game and just plays perfectly every single match. Just a complete player, a generational talent.

@@derickabraham4064he is not the engine of the team. He is the anchor of the team. The whole team is basically like an engine. They have so many players that runs into space, dribble and pass consistently. That movement is what we compare with being an engine. Sure Rodri can dribble, but most of the times he just jogs into a position and make a pass. Sometimes he will walk or even stand still. He is the only player in the team that plays like he plays.

he good at controlling the tempo of the game. all balance skill for a CDM, good aerial duel, interception, ball control, long range pass, shooting. additional he good at reading the games, its very rare to see Pep to give him a instructions while in games bcoz he already knew what he should do and what not to do and he played his role perfectly.

And he is unbeaten in 62 games.city has lost 3 matches in PL this season. Rodri didnt play in those 3 . Good press resistance 🤯. He is the one who controls the tempo of the game. Muy bonitas las jugadas y todo pero no hay nada como ver jugar a este sujeto en vivo y en directo un partido entero, es una bestialidad. Para mí es el mejor jugador del mundo, puesto que el fútbol ha cambiado y los mejores no son sólo los que hacen gones y el rol que ejerce Rodri ha tenido mucho peso últimamente, en pocas palabras ya no solo se tiene en cuenta lo que hagan los delanteros, sin mencionar que es un jugador con mucho gol que aparece en los momentos importantes, tiene espíritu de guerrero, todo un ganador. Por supuesto hay que resaltar el impresionante invicto que tiene con el City y que en la temporada pasada ganó el balón de oro de mundial de clubes, mejor jugador de la Champions League, mejor jugador de la Nations League, mejor medio campista del año por el Global Soccer Award y no recuerdo que más. Y a pesar de no tener tanto marketing, me pone feliz que le hayan otorgado estos premios, es un chiste que en la gala de la FIFA no se haya tenido en cuenta, pero bueno, cómo seria este jugador xon marketing, conseguiría muchos más premios a nivel individual, seguramente.

Why the hell is he called "Rodri" instead of Rodrigo? His jersey says Rodrigo and his name is not even difficult to pronounce. There are longer names which people and commentators have no problem saying, and they have said the name "Rodrigo" several times. So again - why is he called "Rodri"?
