I see CC getting disenchanted with the Fever organization. The owner of the Fever reminds me of the old owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. Didn’t invest any money in players and even less on a GOOD coach. Must be a write off for him. The team has to be more consistent and play as a TEAM. When they stop making their shots, the defense sags off them and start doubling up on CC and just not giving her any space at all. They also need to start some pick and roll away from the ball and free up teammates for easier shots. when a teammate sets a pick, it is up to the other player to stay tight so the defenders can’t get through and makes it difficult to play defense.

Aliyah Boston needs to just practice layups and she also needs to have a shot outside of 3ft. Wallace is terrible for being "a dawg". Wheeler never even attempts to pass to Caitlin. Doesn't even look her way. There are so many glaring issues with the team it's hard to think someone is getting paid to put that group out there.

Sides did not have them ready. Caitlin one of the few that was ready. Too many missed easy baskets/bunnies and free throws. Terrible defense. That’s on coach, not ready to play.

Seattle was longer and bigger at all the critical positions against the very young Fever squad. Great transition game. They could pretty much score at will..impressive team. Fever needs defenders in the paint to be successive in this league and yes, CC needs to have more shot opportunities than she's getting. But the style of play of Wheeler and Mitchell aren't clicking with CC's style is now quite obvious..but since she's the rookie and the coach sticks with the vets, that's how it's going to be until either Wheeler or Mitchell or CC is traded.

I would like to see CC speak what's inside her heart, instead of being politically correct and say what ppl want to hear instead of speaking what's really on her mind to speak. Don''t be shy, CC. Say what's in your heart. Please.

It seems like something evil and more nefarious is going on with the Fever! Look at it like this, what team drafts the #1 collegiate scorer and record breaker of all time and then when this star is on her new team, the coach of that team is seemingly or even obviously sabotaging that's star's development! Clark has proven she can score, pass like no other and rebound yet she is being frozen out of the offense! This needs to be explained because the entire nation is noticing that something underhanded is going on in Indiana!

Smith is a defensive liability. Mitchell does not pass and is all about herself. Wallace is just there... Like, what are we doing with this team/lineup. It’s sad that these two actually are the only players that care about winning and unselfish basketball. You can definitely tell CC & Boston is sad

I’m not an expert on BB but the Fever just can’t seem to keep the momentum going. My life experience has taught me that managers set the tone of their employees. That being said I place most of this on Sides. Any constructive thoughts on my take?

Learn how to set some screens! Ghost screens don’t accomplish anything. Coach keeps saying we’ll look at the game tape and see where we can improve. LOOK at the screens your players don’t set! It’s right there on the game tape.

Storm is a good defensive team. Maybe, defending more on one player of the other team. Defensive slides. And half-circles to move and stop their offense. When that player is having a great game. Fever had four rebounds on one play in the game on their offense. That was good to see. -Mike

To add just a little sports perspective, from the NFL. Both Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning, Hall of Fame quarterbacks by the end of their careers, top draft picks coming out of college, were absolutely shellacked in their rookie years, with their teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Indianapolis Colts, losing the vast majority of their games. There is always a REASON that a team gets to grab the top draft pick: they suck. Big time. It isn't just about having talent on a roster, it's about having a combination of talents which work well together. If the Fever already had that, they would not have had such a horrible year last year. This is not just a coaching issue, it's a management issue, a GM and owner issue in terms of not having built a better working team. And just playing together longer probably not enough to make this team more competitive, even with CC on it. They will need to rethink the personnel seriously in the off season. It's fine to put CC through her paces this year. She's a rookie. The more that gets thrown at her, the more she learns. And she is not going to be ruined. She is already highly professional, not some innocent lamb. But it would be an awful waste to go into next year with this same team around Caitlin. It needs an upgrade.

12-0 run and not call a time out was 6 points to many. Then ice CC after she was hot. Then again as she helped get with 9 & iced again. Teammates cost her another double double. Fire sides now.

This just shows everyone how self-centered, oblivious and one track mindedness the media and a lot of the fans are. Caitlin showed them right here that there is no beef, nor will there ever be any kind of animosity towards her teammates nor any other players on the other teams. This fabricated war is just that, coming from the media and fans. She clearly said she's not the only one playing, she knows she's not the best and that it takes a team to win a game not just one player. She's a contributor to the cause. Caitlin and Reese are not the enemies the media and fans think they are. They're trying to make one look like a villain and the other one a monster. This is teams competing against each other and may the best one win. These girls are YOUNG and have more common sense than they're fans. They know how to LEAVE IT ON THE COURT!!!

The ball screens need to be tighter. Once Boston gets the ball off the short roll she either has to drive downhill to the basket, drive and pass, or swing it. Girl in the corner just stands there - why no back cutting? CC you CANNOT take your eyes off LLoyd. She should not be able to back cut on you. Use peripheral vision to see ball and your man at the same time. You took your eyes of your man and stared at the ball and Llloyd jogged down for an easy back cut layup. That is basketball 101. It's infuriating to watch. If the bigs run into traffic down low they have to kick the ball OUT and move the ball. Teams are gonna give you numbers off the short roll cause once phase 1 is completed they can stop you cause Fever have no plan B. After hearing Sides I don't think she understands the problem. Storm just gave teams the blue print on how to beat your pick and roll. For the Love Of God can the players on the perimeter please move and be ready to catch and shoot. They are overloading on CC but they don't know how to make the other team pay for doing it. Once you figure out how to execute they will stop overloading on CC and it will free things up for everyone. Fever bigs have not been able to execute vs Storm in last 2 games but they kept going back to the well. Boston USE THE GLASS. Can someone change Smith's shot? She will never ever be a good shooter with that form. There is way too much motion. No need for all of that motion in your shot on foul shots. Keep it short and compact. That alone boggles my mind.

What people keep forgetting is that these teams ARE REALLY GOOD. Seattle is full of vets, many have already been won WNBA championships. The bigger question is, why is everybody so hard on this rookie squad. The Mystics are having a learning curve, the Sky, and the Wings. However, people expect for CC and the Fever to be further along than they ever can be. It’s not fair to their whole team.

The screen game is horrific. Screening is basketball 101. It's one of the first things you learn. The fact that they can't make simple screens is beyond frustrating. Hey coach, how about you defend Jewel like the other team defends Caitlin. They pick her up 94 feet from the hoop, and on many plays there was no one even covering Jewel.

Did the coach just take responsibility for not having an answer for Jewell Lloyd? She took credit for doing nothing essentially.

As far as firing the coach as many clark fans suggest you're going to find out that its bigger than just firing a coach. At some point these fans are going to have to come to terms with the environment they help create. Like the coach said, " the outside noise." So clearly its having an impact and doesnt seem to be changing any time soon. New coach or not.

The “nobody gives me advice” comment was in response to the question “What is the best advice a VET has given to you in games?” This was not about her coach or teammates. In the Sky/Aces game prior they were talking about how even the vets on the opposing teams are constantly giving Angel Reese advice, so I think this question was asked to see if CC has had the same experience and she obviously has not.

I have been saying since the season began that she needs a mentor. I’ve watched after each game and I have yet to see someone who isn’t Cameron Brink or Kate Martin show her any sort of love. Not one vet or superstar has given her the time of day. It looks especially bad that for days A’ja and Angel have shared a common respect and love for one other in the media and after yesterday’s game. Caitlin continues to remain on her own and isolated by nearly everyone in the league smh.

It’s time to had the guys on the practice team to crank up the defense in practice and practice defense more like the defense they see in an actual game.

It seems to me that Christy Sides is just "blowin' smoke" just to say stuff, but it makes no sense. Sad to say, but she is not doing a good enough job to keep it.

Those last two questions were great whoever that was. And the bottom line is they need to be running her off Reggie Miller and Ray Allen screens. There's just too many pick and rolls. There needs to be double screens staggered screens she needs to be making Iverson cuts off of screens so either she's out of shape or they're not running her at multiple angles constantly which is what they need to do. It needs to go through her every time down the floor. The definition of insanity is to continue to repeat the same things and expect a different result. Now I understand as a coach you have to give things time but not in this case. She needs to be running off double and staggered screens all over the place up down diagonally sideways and that will free things up for others. Now granted their defense is horrendous and they need another skilled player like Crystal Bradford who's literally sitting at home and would make them instantly a playoff contender but seeing that this is who they are they need to utilize her better.

Need to start asking the coach how many screens/plays for CC have they actually designed and practiced. We're not seeing them on court. People are tired of hearing the same crap from this coach. And CC is tired of dealing with and managing the selfish egos, small minds and incompetence within the team and the coaching staff. All while carrying the league on her back. The way Sides is treating Caitlin is just atrocious coaching, it's unbelievably mind-boggling.

There are a lot of mean and hateful people in this world. Why do some of you guys want Coach Sides to lose her job in this bad economy. She has improved the team by wins, since she has been there, leave her alone. The turnovers, well, LeBron James has played 21 seasons and, led the NBA in turnovers with 5,000. Vince Carter played 22 seasons in the NBA , he had about 2,500 turnovers. I think she will be alright. I remember watching Larry Bird play, who had some nasty passes. His teammates would say , when Larry has the ball, you have to always be ready for the ball. "Caitlin's teammates, be ready for the ball."

I don't wanna see anyone lose their job but i almost hope she does so when the same play and losing continues under another coach u casual fans wont have a excuse why they play the way they do and why CC aint gonna dominate in W like she did in college. She will be a top 15-20 player and thats ok.
