Correction: This was her first HOME preseason game. The second and last preseason game overall. Nice to see the equivalent of a Pacers crowd at the game, and to see Gabbie Marshall at the end of the game doing a photo op with Caitlin.

It's easy to see that someday you'll be an awesome Mom. You respect your Mom and you have a great relationship. More than that. She found open people all night and several of them missed open shots. I watched the replay late last night after work and had they converted I'm guessing she would've had 14 or 15 assists which is 8 or 9 more than she had.

This was preseason, players aren't use to each other. Clark had 4 years with Gabbie, Kate and other players at Iowa, shes had only a few with these players. When the starting 5 players have more time together, they will form a bond and know each others moves. Also Caitlin not going to show other teams all she can do in preseason games. Have a feeling she has held back a lot, when season starts think it will be a different show.

Yup, she's going to be face guarded full court by every team's best defender every game. Coach Sides and CC will have to do different things to get her open looks. We've seen them have different players bring up the ball and handle the point. Ultimately they want the ball in her hand though as she is so dynamic with it.

@@richmal50Rewatch the game. You’ll see them pick her up from the inbound every single time. She couldn’t bring the ball up the court without someone on her like a shadow. Once she entered half court she was doubled and tripled. There were multiple times on film where you can see the entire other team stop guarding the players to switch onto her. Go watch

I think Caitlin is still 'playing into her game.' I'm not a bit worried about where her career is going. I do believe her teammates need to get the lead out as well. When this new point guard has the ball they need a rim runner, as well as people in the post always ready for the feed. 12 points might be an underachievement, but that's not on her. She needs the other elements and support she had in Iowa...and vice versa. People need to make the points off her feed.

Ridiculous for CC to shoot 2 when she can shoot 3 on a dime...her passing game is outrageously on the mark...her teammates need to finish it at the rim...missed alot....CC would have more than 6 assists probably would have had a big lead in the game...CC decision isn't make it fast it's a view who makes a shot or does she play it herself ...she looks divided to what will work...she is used to being 2 or 3 steps ahead of everyone....she is an advanced player but a team player ...don't hold her back...let her go...do your thing CC....❤

The martinet Sides is stifling CC’s enthusiastic exhuberance that brings in money and fills seats. The dour WNBA had years to elevate its prestige in the public mind but failed. CC even elevated the former superstars whose names I am only now learning about just because CC brought me in. How long before a disheartened CC demands a trade to a team that is willing to use those unique BB talents in addition to her scoring prowess that fill seats?
