Clark is not playing in a vacuum. I doubt the participants here watched the full game. Fever played street ball and that's on the coach and players. Against Chicago, Sides blew a 13 point lead when she put Wheeler at point guard with 9 minutes left, and religated Clark to the corner. And her team mates never passed to her when she got open. Brother watch the games completely.

The teammates do pass to her but not enough. And they were told to slow down their offense which Caitlin, Boston and a few others didn't agree with. You saw how they were reacting on the sideline. But Skip needs to just watch the game rather than projecting his idea of what Clark should be onto Clark. She's trying to make the right play. She's like LeBron in that respect and Skip wants her to act like Kobe.

Stop it ... Coach Sides said at a post PC, the first game CC shot 22% from 3 she need to SHOOT ... when she said that she meant more deep 2s but you CC fans said Coach was throwing her under the bus. CC is throwing games, she was drafted to be a shooter and to mis 5 shots in her spot she doing it deliberately, just as she'd done vs Nebraska to break teh record at home in Iowa. She deliberately missed shots or passed it to her teammates all to get Coach Sides fired. The Fever are running plays just for CC, off ball screens with shooters in the corner just like at Iowa. She's not taking those shots where se usually does and passes up deep 2s ...

Bingo !! When you face guard someone without the ball before she crosses half court or on the weak side corner, that is horrible team defense but it also shows that the Fever don’t make the other teams pay for the defense and the teams don’t respect the other players. Boston and Caitlin both need to work on a mid range game because they both don’t look comfy there. Boston gets so many passes where she is wide open at the free throw line after CC gets blitzed on pick and roll and she doesn’t make them pay for her being wide open….

The biggest difference between Caitlin and Steph is her handles. When Steph came into the league, he was more of a spot-up shooter who could occasionally use a head fake and then run straight downhill. Just like Caitlin. Now, Steph is an entirely different beast. When he developed his handle, it wasn't enough to stick a strong defender on him. Not even two defenders, because he learned to split a double without picking up his dribble. If Caitlin develops her handle in the offseason and becomes a threat to take someone off the dribble, there will be no answer for her.

One odd thing I see the Fever do is they run a screen high and and low at the same time. The defenders low, jam the screen low so the lane is clogged for 2 seconds. Now the High roller can't dive to the lane. They then blitz CC and are very good at shading to the side with the open defender. They basically tie up all 5 players every pick and roll. The Fever coach should stop running that low screen so Boston can slip the screen. Right now, she can't slip that screen with the lane clogged. Well, she can but you are then asking CC to pass through 4 defenders.

@@elijahbillings7880 Who cares? Luka led the NBA last season in turnovers. LBJ is the all time leader in TOs in the NBA. If the teammates didn't fumble her good passes they may have more wins. Clark's passing is one of her best attributes. Now, TOs based on getting her pocket picked is something to fix, not so much the other ones based on experience or mishandled passes. Even TSpoon when asked about Caitlin's TO's praised Caitlin saying she's "outstanding at what she does" "gets the ball to the right people" "with experience, her TOs will go down" and she's a former PG. So I wish people would give the whole TO thing a rest.

The statement "Nobody gives me advice in the game, I wish" highlights a lack of coaching and communication. The coach should call timeouts and adjust plays, but instead, they force Caitlin Clark to pass to underperforming players, disrupting her natural flow. Indiana Fever needs an experienced coach to compete effectively.

I don’t know why the basketball experts can’t see she’s not a great ball handler because she dribbles the ball out and away from her body which is why she looses the ball when someone just out at her, or doubles her. I was a PG, and you’re taught to dribble as though the ball is on a string. This is why they have some many ball handling drills. Then none of these experts ever talk about her terrible defense, which causes problems when your teammates has to play help defense for her 24/7. You’re having to keep an eye on your woman and hers. You’re having to drop a little deeper so you’ll be in position to help her, which leaves your woman wide open for 3’s. Well coached teams are noticing and take advantage or it. Yes, she needs to take more shots, but good shots that’s not forced unless it’s the last shot of the game 😂

At the beginning of the season, Coach Sides said publicly that she didn't want CC shooting logo 3's or 3's in general. She preferred the long twos. Then later she said, she wanted her to pass more. Sometimes the scheme is to put her in the corner where she sits b/c no one will pass her the ball. If you don't believe that is a designed play, watch Texas WBB the last two years. They had an outstanding player in Shaylee Gonzales and it was all about Harmon, PG and when she got hurt, it was Booker. Now Gonzales is playing professionally and scoring 20-30 pts/game. Now, Sides wants her to shoot 15x/game. Make up your mind. BTW, for those who say she can't guard, why don't you see how much effort it takes you to run around to get yourself open vs standing around w/o helping your teammate. So much ego and selfishness on this team. It's disgusting especially when Clark is willing to pass to you regardless. And yes, she's a turnover machine with teammates who seem to need catching lessons. Just sayin'.

That’s where Paul ain’t been paying attention. The coach is on BS. The coach isn’t running majority of the plays for CC. Majority of the plays have been ran for Mitchell, Smith, and Boston. Most nights CC has been the 3rd or 4th options. Not by her choice but by the coach.

What works against the Dream and Mystics isn't going to work against the Storm, Aces, Liberty, Sun and teams of that caliber. And what works in the first half will find defensive adjustments made by opposing teams in the second half. So you can't just go with the exact same plays. But you shouldn't abandon what's working to somehow get certain players more minutes as well.,
