The average is the small and large numbers added together then divided by the number of numbers added together to get the average. The average has to be somewhere in the middle, meaning that some shots are going to be longer than the average.

@@averageanimeenjoyer8809 lowering rims would be a great adjustment but it would be weird because females who have played for a long time will have to make large adjustments to shooting. but i agree if they lower the rims for middle school, highschool and college then by the time they reach WNBA and the rims are lowered it won’t be such a huge adjustment only for the older players who may be reaching retirement by that time
