An athlete like her is rare, indeed. Hard to imagine that she excelled in both athletics and academics in a major university when most people can excel in just one, if they can excel at all.

Except that no one really catches up on Indiana Fever basketball; their fan base is very localized, like the Dallas Wings. If they want to continue to elevate WNBA visibility, it helps to have a big-name like Clark, on teams w/ large media markets, like Chicago, LA, etc.

I'm from Cincinnati a couple years ago they got Halliburton and the Pacers became my team when they got Aaliyah I thought all right cool we got a star in the WNBA now too if they get Caitlin I'll have to travel outside of my city but I would definitely do it probably every week or weekend just to see them play hell I might just move on down there

The Fever announced 36 of their 40 games will be televised nationally on various networks. Also they are playing their first home game at the Pacers arena. For better or worse, both of them are going to be hyped this year. Let's see if this turns into long term increased coverage or if casual fans start tuning out once the buzz is over
