Yes, he is a gorgeous piano player. And you barely scratched the surface of his artistry (skipping Move? Damn... Lol Most iconic thing there is out there). His live performances are out of this world and his dance practices are a must see. This is where you can see that he doesn't move like a normal being. He floats. This man is ART. He only competes with himself. Literally no one is on his level of art. My top 3 of his is Want, Criminal and Advice but the boy hasn’t released anything that hasn’t left me mesmerised. Thirsty, Move, Famous, EVERYTHING.

SHINee and Taemin weren’t really marketed to the West, so a lot of their older videos don’t have subtitles. I think they started putting English subtitles in kpop videos somewhere in 2019 or so due to the influx of non-Korean fans. Don’t Call Me this year is SHINee’s first song with English subs included. Glad you got to see Taemin! Criminal, Move, Flame of Love are a must-see! Actually all of his discography is amazing

Hey about the piano in advice, Taemin plays it himself and he has said that piano is really his instrument and he wanted to make a song that represents strongly him as an artist! Also this video was great. I’m so happy you found his music. All his music is great but my favorites are in his TAEMIN album!! and my alltime favorite song from him is heaven!! That hits different for me🙏

He's a goofball, but also deeply intellectual. IDEA draws on, um, ideas about the ideal from the freaking Ancient Greek philosopher Plato. And the powerful grace of his movements are things learned from several strains of Japanese performance. Plus, his combination of masculinity and femininity is so conscious, he is passionate about breaking gender norms. To me, Michael Jackson is the predecessor to Taemin, not the other way around. And SHINee is also a major journey, a group of the most original and experimental performers in all of K-Pop

If you look at other videos of how Taemin dances, there’s something so fluid. It’s just DIFFERENT. He’s extremely talented and gifted in musicality and artistry. He comes up with the concepts and theories for everything. He’s involved in the studio process as well. But the way he conveys the message is so outstanding and legendary that before I even knew that he was referred to as the Michael Jackson of kpop, I was like to this dude is like the Michael Jackson of kpop. I wish he would be recognized in other markets too because he isn’t just limited to kpop and Korean culture. He’s one of the best dancers/artists to have ever even existed in any country. His stage presence in live performances is chilling. Also he’s an icon because he purposely makes everything about his music and style more androgynous so that everyone feels comfortable dancing the choreography. He’s known to push the boundaries of gender stereotypes a little bit. In addition, his songs generally don’t contain any pronouns.

Taemin is his own thing when it comes to solo work, he is on his own league. Like you said he is one of those once in a lifetime artist with so much artistry and passion.

Taemin is called The kpop's king for a reason, currently he's considered the best solo male artist of all time in history of kpop and he's only 27. he is the next level in everything he does. nobody is as creative and risky as he to introduce and create concepts or styles different from what is common in the music industry. It is so unique. ADVICE is unbelievable because there was the elegance of piano's sound with rap at the same time and singing in another vocal register and to that add the fastest choreography that a soloist has done so far, the visuals and concept. It's insane. Nobody does it like him. No one. And if you go deeper, everything in the MV has a why, but it's not about SM's predetermined concepts, it's more about what he wants to express as an artist, like "TAEMIN" then ADVICE is like the end of one of a whole history of his album "Never Gonna Dance Again" that begins with 2KIDS, CRIMINAL, IDEA and ADVICE where he basically tries or talks about destroying an old identity to be reborn and find his identity. I am 100% in love with Taemin's discography because it's so dark and complicated as humans' minds are in front of temptation. I didn't follow him back then when SHINee debuted, only casually enjoyed their vocals and dance which they have never failed. But Taemin soloist is a whole genre for me and SHINee's music grows in me thanks to him. Anyway, I highly recommend you his Japanese songs.
