It would be nice if you could record yourself covering the songs ( with improvations ) you teach and then teach ( without improvations) . Thus both begginers and more experienced people can learn from you by taking inspiration from your style and then teaching the grove for the begginers. I would like to see more solo/cover videos from you (I like the fingers technique). Have a nice day!

Nice sounds and groove! Do you have any videos that explain how to do the grace notes that you do with your fingers?

Either just a soft hit or with the fingers is fine. Getting the ghost notes to be very soft while still controlled just takes practice :-)

Thanks for your great videos. You may have already mentioned this somewhere but did you add some audio effects to the Cajon recordings because mine just does not sound the same as yours does. I understand that there are different types of them, but I'm not sure if my sounds normal or if there's something wrong with it. I have the LP Groove wire Cajon. Is that a good Cajon?
@rosslmccallum

Thanks for the comment! I love slapping a lot of reverb on my cajon sound (makes everything sound much bigger). The end of this video shows the typical kind of processing I like to do to make it sound how it does! Improved technique (and some processing) will make any cajon sound better and better. Have a great day!

I find it difficult to emphasize the left hand on the top of the drum compared to a normal tap with the left hand. How do you even do that? I got the tempo, but I can't seem to emphasize that left hand beat
@rosslmccallum
@rosslmccallum 4 жыл бұрын
Try playing just soft then loud with the left hand as a simple exercise. One hit soft one hit loud. Repeat. Then come back to the video and see if you can get the emphasis :-)

Ok cool. In the future I think it would be much more informative to make a brief statement about the rhythmic style or style of music being used. That way new learners can get your groove pattern while simultaneously learn some useful music knowledge. This is the gist of what I wanted to say.
