The parade, the steaming hot food, the conversations, the quiet evening sunset by the lake, the boat, the chilled laidback calm the people had, the insects buzzing around the bulb all those subtle tiny moments captured on film made this episode so unique, man this was another level of visual wholesomeness.... Much love from Manipur, india.

I love this video, my only critique: You not really eating Cajun food though lol. New Orleans is primarily Creole and soul cuisine. The Cajun cuisine and culture is outside New Orleans lies with the Acadians in Lafayette, New Iberia, Breaux Bridge, Houma-Thibodeaux, Lake Charles for example. Gumbo can go both ways, there’s a certain way creoles cook it vs Cajun recipes. The gumbo you ate was a blend of both. I’m glad you enjoyed my city and our food!!

Native Louisianian here! First: thank you for highlighting the greatness that is Louisiana's cuisine. Our state and culture are so awesomely unique. The one thing I have to say is that there is a difference between Cajun and Creole cuisine. New Orleans cuisine is more Creole, while other cities, especially SW Louisiana is more Cajun because that's where Acadians settled, which is where the term, "Cajun" comes from. The cooking techniques and ingredients used are different because the cultures are slightly different. This makes the food taste different. I guarantee if you go to Cajun Country (Lafayette, Breaux Bridge, Opelousas, etc.), you'll definitely be in for a treat there as well.

Hi I'm born and raised in new orleans, family's goes back to the1700ths. Just won't to make a slite correction new orlean culture and food is CREOLE, NOT CAJUN, simular but very different. True CREOLE is a blend ofAfrican,French,Spaniard not Hispanic X and last Native American make CREOLE culture! CAJUN is white people or Europeans that left France went to Canada then migrated down south. That's the difference for those that don't know you herd me!!

Cajun is a new identity that started in the 50s up until then they were called Creole, matter of fact some still call themselves Creole. And some Créoles ain't really mixed

China MaC this my second episode my man…. I’m loving what you doing. Bring the groups together destroying the stereotypes on both ends. Maybe on another season you can bring some of the brothas to some Asian eateries so they can expand they pallets.
