well i had no idea they where taking off the old ones, i just came back from a job one day and mech asked what pattern i wanted........ ive been searching for something retro cool but.... fuck it. i seen a guy put the orange round LEDs in the rotators. looks good. i was planning on doing something like that because i wasn't happy with any other light. had my heart set on ones we had at roadtrain but discontinued

Hey Jerrold, have you considered making a video explaining what the purpose of your loads are (what they do in the oilfield)? I love your content, but I haven't the foggiest idea what you're hauling or what it's for. What do they do with a roll of steel cable that big? Is a "Mud Tank" actually used for mud?
@TimelapseTruckerRTOT7 ай бұрын
well yes but no, im always looking to present my videos differently, but most cases like this coil can do a lot and ill admit i have no idea what, throwing terms around about stuff i dont know, not really my strong suit. mud tank yes, heavy clay powder mixed with water to add weight when drilling it cools the bit when drilling and heavy to hold gas kicks or what not when you hit a pocket. they use other stuff too, invert is gross oil based cancer causing stuff like mud but way worse to handel, i come from experienced vac truck doing rig work when i first started driving

Id also like to see how your equipment works, I've never seen jeeps, boosters and aux transmissions up close, if you want to do a video explaining all the cool stuff you use daily

It’s not steel cable, it’s coil tubing. The thing he calls “coils” are called reels. The coil comes in a variety of diameters 2 3/8” is about the most common in Alberta. Coil tubing operations are a form of well stimulation which is basically means getting greater production out of an existing (but freshly drilled) well. Most of the sites he goes to (and most in North America) are first drilled to whatever depth with a drilling rig, fracced then coil operations afterwards. Milling, cleanout and fishing are about the most common downnhole coil operations. All completed with a variety of tools and chems, generally with assistance of fluid pumps or N2 pumps. Hope that gave a brief explanation. Can’t go to much more in depth for professional reasons.

@@johnnythompson-nz4ws Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I had figured that the "coils" being hauled around from various gas wells couldn't be just cable, but the little tidbits of when and what they use them for is very helpful in understanding what they are. Oil and gas is outside my expertise, I'll try to share any mysteries that come up on the next TLT coal mine visit, though there aren't many of those (mysteries)...

my imac is 2020, its got decent specs. its just how it goes, if AI did it they way i wanted it, that would be cool. one thing is music, its a royal pain to sift thru music looking for something, one hour sometimes more. more options cost more money, not really there with the channel yet, music license 200-400 a year from some places. and ive tried a few and its the same story most places, 20% good 80% non usable, well to my taste anyways. i have to feel something with the groove or doesnt work for me. could be a me issue tho, hard to say what people will like so i make them how i wanted them and figured people will or won't. definitely can't satisfy everyone, in the end 20 years from now i want to look back and still like them too, hope copyright laws would go away and just use whatever

My grandad drove a wagon in London 4 horse power REAL HORSES power , my dad drove a leyland beaver 12 ton artic ( 2 axle tractor and fore in line trailer ) the normal weight in blighty at the time . AlI loaded by hand ,sugar beat with a fork , Beans in 18 stone cuwm sacks stacked two rows high , real men they were . I think it gets in your blood ? IT'S A MENTAL DISORDER . PS Anyone who wants to criticize this boys reversing , a short unit with a long trailer is a piece of piss . A long unit (with a crap lock ) and a short trailer is a e fin night mare
@TimelapseTruckerRTOT6 ай бұрын
much agreed, i find short on long pretty easy. i struggle with B trains where the front is longer than the second trailer. i couldn't do half the things i do with this style
