***About--- calathea ornata is a perennial plant that is part of the family known as the prayer plants or the maranta family. The plant is known for its large leaves that have a distinctive pattern and affervescent colors.
***Propagation--- calatheas cannot be propagated by stem cutting. Instead, propagation is through division whereby the plant is divided at the roots into several plants during the start of the growing season.
***Care--- place your calathea ornata in bright, indirect light, at temperatures 65 to 85° f (18 to 29°C) and high humidity. Pot in a peat-based potting soil, water regularly to maintain lightly moist soil and fertilizer monthly through the growing season. If you keep this plant in excess sunlight, then the leaves of this plant are burnt so you can also keep this plant in the shed area.
