This video introduces hydraulic devices, specifically double acting cylinders.
You will learn how to calculate the force the cylinder can exert both during extension and retraction. These forces differ, as during extension the pressure acts across the full bore of the cylinder and on retraction, the pressure acts on the annulus of the cylinder.
