Those Mountains are in Baha California! They are an extension of the same mountains as those east of San Diego. Neat little town with cool Architecture!

Calexico and El Centro are about the same population now. Both are in the vicinity of 40,000 people (+/-). If it was NOT for the agriculture, NO ONE would live in the entire IV!

Most people in Calexico do not speak English. I know for legal reasons that signs are posted in English and civil services you have to speak English, but this place has never been English-language friendly. Due to being a poor town, it does not attract tourists or capital. So this place is no different than Laredo, Brownsville, or Rio Grande Valley.

When visitig bring your food and pets food sometimes there is no groceries in the big chain distributors if go to Mex check what you are buying may have trouble with US customs

I lived there for like 10 yrs it's sucks plus there no jobs besides field work .

I'm in Indio a little bit north. Mexicali doesn't have much for tourists unlike Los Algodones (dentists), Tecate, or TJ.

I wish we didn't need a border walk/fence because I love Mexico and I have a brother there. He became Mexican and I became Québécois. But until Mexico controls crime, the cartels and has enough prosperity for Mexican workers, the border needs to be closed. 😢
