This is an informative video on how to recalibrate the screen on your Chrysler MyGIG REN/REZ (and likely other) head units. If you’re having issues getting the screen to respond properly, this video is for you.

My radio has a button marked NAV where yours is AUDIO how do I get into the calibrate screen?

There's a way to get to the calibration settings if you have a newer version. I have v. 9.214 and I touch the menu button and hold it, then seek up AND down buttons at the same time. It gets you into engineering mode.

How do I find out what version my stereo is? It looks exactly like this one. The touch screen doesn’t work. Radio works though

It's actually on the face of the radio bottom right corner r e n or HR or rzb the three letters tell you what version it is

Mine has seek up, radio media and nav. Not audio. What do i do?

Do exactly as you see on the video press the navigation button and the up and down seek press all three at once and let go and you'll see that screen be super careful in there if you scroll down slowly you will see calibrate screen do exactly what he shows I used the pin off of my note Android phone you can use any stylus make sure you line up those things look at them first you will see a one a two and a three make sure they're green on all three it does not say okay or you did a good job or anything you just make sure you do them in order one two and three then press the media button to get out you will get out of there worked perfect for my rhr 730n

Thank you for the video. I have a 2019 and don’t have the seek buttons as a hard button they are on the screen. I tried the seek up on the back of the steering wheel with no luck. Do you know how to get to the calibration screen on a 2019 model? Thanks for any guidance.

Entrar directo a la pantalla de calibrar en mygig REN, oprimir los botones al mismo tiempo por unos segundos: seek arriba + seek abajo + radio/media + audio (nav, supongo funciona). Entra directo a la pantalla de calibrar.

This means you are likely on the newest firmware revision, which does not allow for this command. The only way is to downgrade to older firmware, which can be done by downloading and burning to DVD. Unfortunately, you have to be able to hit the “OK” button on the screen to begin the firmware install. If you have ANY screen functionality, you may be able to touch “ok”

@@vadude21 I will try it friend, but I investigated and I use the 9112 and I have not found any page where I can download it, but I also have another doubt, I was also observing that on the mygig page, they say that if you update the radio it is necessary that the hdd does not have failures, Will there be any problem if I update it to the previous one without risk?

@@JindoshDraco sorry for my delay. I had no problem downgrading mine with the same hardware. The firmware is available online for free, but I don’t have the links available at the moment. Keep in mind, there is a prompt that appears on the screen, asking you if you wish to downgrade. If you are unable to select “yes” on the screen, you will not be able to perform the downgrade. If you attempted to calibrate previously and lost all screen control, you are stuck. If you are able to have SOME screen control, you might be able to select “yes” when the prompt appears.

I get to the point where the yellow lines appear, but there is only 1 vertical line to the extreme right hand side of the screen. There is no horizontal yellow line. Any comments are welcome.

If I recall, you need to use your pen-tip, get in that corner, and drag.

I bought one town/country and have lot of issues with touchscreen, now doesn't work at all, I replace the digitizer screen but look like I should looking for reflash

If you can reach the calibration screen at all, (black screen with the hash marks as per video) then you can likely get it functioning again. Please please PLEASE do NOT exit the calibration screen until it is set properly. If you exit before set, you will never be able to get back in again.

Look like thats was the issue with anterior owner. I replace the screen due to my generic logic about radios but now I know this unit is tricked to lost calibration and is stored in a flash, don't even think replace OS, or HDD, Or screen. Doesn´t work at all. Good sound quality but is a crappy system about touch. I will try to discover how to flash the entire brick @@vadude21

I believe you can search through your EVIC display (Electronic Vehicle Information Center). It should be in there...

Hi, Matthew I also have the same touchscreen calibration issue but in RHR with software version 2.600. So could you help me out with this one as well. or is there any way to factory reset the whole system, bcz I have already somehow by touching here and there managed to master reset in engineering mode but that didn't work as well.

Yes, hitting “ok” is the hardest part. If you are able to select “ok”, you will be able to downgrade. If your screen has no function, you will not be able to continue.

Matthew.......Puedes tu modificar lo que se muestra en pantalla.....es decir...puedes mover el OK a otro lugar de la pantalla para poder pinchar.-...ideal seria que estuviera debajo de NO.............y asi poder acceder-.---- yo estoy mirando los archivos de actualización /ISO REZ 9111........pero no encuentro (donde se pueda leer)...donde esta la pantalla que indica SI o NO en la actualización.................-gracias por tu respuesta-

MATT cualk es el archivo que controla la parte que sale en pantalla para dar el OK....??? es decir es uno de los archivos del cd...o esta en la radio...??......tu piedes hacer que esos "botones" YES o NO, se puedan ver Verticalmente..¡¡?????

Man, I wish I had seen this before I tried mine. I did a lot of reading, but still ended up messing it up and I'm on newer software. Any way to roll it back now?

I put this together because I, too, bricked my first unit and wanted the atrocity to end. Lol. Do you have ANY screen usage at all? I’m assuming not. There’s a company somewhere who can flash 9.11 back to it. Also, I think the dealer can do the same. You can still calibrate with 9.29, but you only get one shot!

Hola buenos días...esto es genial MATTEW .. mas de 7 años intentando arreglar el problema de mi pantalla que yo provoque...jajajajajaj... Tengo una radio REZ con versión 9.292...puedo tocar la pantalla pero todos los botones están muy juntos en una línea diagonal de no mas de 2 mm de grosor...( \ ) .y a veces es difícil dar con la acción que necesito...es muy difícil apuntarle al OK para bajar la versión-.-......funcionara con una versión del software 9.113..??

You have two choices. You can enter the engineering mode by pressing SEEK UP, SEEK DOWN, and MENU. Or, SEEK UP, SEEK DOWN, AUDIO. Once there, you will have option for the screen calibration. ONCE YOU HAVE SELECTED THIS OPTION, DO NOT EXIT UNTIL THE SCREEN HAS BEEN PROPERLY CALIBRATED as shown in my video. If you leave the screen before successful, you will BREAK your radio completely and it will no longer function. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

Noo, pressing SEEK UP, SEEK DOWN, and MENU. Or, SEEK UP, SEEK DOWN, AUDIO. no me lleva a la calibracion.....solo al menu ...y tengo que avanzar de hoja con los botones para llegar a la opcion Calibrated, pero ese justamente lo que no puedo encontrar los botones av pag o re pag....para seguir

(Dodge RAM Laramie 1500) My Dodge RAM Laramie 1500 truck will be 7 years old on Christmas Eve. About 2 months ago I ordered a navigation map update and installed it. The installation went off without a problem. Here is the problem. When driving down the interstate at 70 miles an hour and I am in the far left lane. Every time I pass an exit the voice comes over and announces that the speed limit is 30 miles per hour. The display on the map screen changes from 70 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour. After I pass the exit it goes back to 70 MPH. I am not getting off of the exit but keep on traveling in the left lane on the interstate. I have called the map company, “Here” and told them the problem. They said it is not their problem and I need to call Dodge U-connect for a fix. I called Dodge and explained my problem. They said go to the dealership. I did and they told me to back to Dodge U-connect. I was told today when I called it was a glitch in the system. Call Tiffney 800-826-6632 X3025432 Call and complain to have them get this glitch fixed. Here I am the customer wedged between two companies and cannot get any help.
