Humans on their way to work for the 17,347th day after spending 12-18 years in school reliving everyday (they only have 99,589 days left until they can retire from living the same day over and over) (then they will spend 5-10 years reliving the same day in a nursing home and BOOM that's the end. I find that for someone who knows nothing about the Vietnam War, when you listen to it, it's calm and calm. Except that for those who really know this war I just tell myself that this war is one of the first wars of attrition and it makes me feel bad to think that there are lots of young people my age who have beaten for a country that just needed a sponge to plug an open wound. I don't feel like a veteran but it pains me to think that the Vietnam War is still there, Afghanistan, Iraq, Mali for the French. These are wars of attrition with a cowardly enemy hiding in civilians

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.

If you were to die right now, would you be remembered? Would you have carried a legacy? Would you have done something that when people think of your family you are the first name that comes to mind? Would you be the change? Or would you be the one nobody knew about…thought about…or called to ask how you’ve been…or would you have done something in your life that you can say I did that and I’m proud I did that. Don’t wake up everyday and say let’s get through the day, wake up and say what will I do that’s going to be great today. God will help you through your life, you just have to let him help you, go to church, worship god, get baptized when you feel ready after studying, and it will all pay off in the end.
