I have been listening to prog since the time before it was called prog and this is the best output out of Australia I have ever heard. It is truly excellent to see a bunch of muso's from my country who display the compositional talent and virtuosity to be compared to new prog giants such as Haken. Well done Sam, Jim, Zac, Dave and Geoff.

The singing is a treat too, caught em at Sonic Forge and I was like "ZOMG singing!" because it's gotten to the point where a band that sings is something special and out of the ordinary.

Alan Vickers Arcane is pretty good, too! I think you might especially like them because the lead vocalist is the same person for both them and this band!

Still listening this song until now (in 2023), love the riffs, just wow...beautiful n memorable melody guitar on reff 1:09 "... just one word..." blend with the vocal One of best song beside Dark Hair Down in this album. Imho, Best album Caligula's Horse so far

KingdomOfApple Can't say for sure about Opus of a Machine, but Caligula's Horse started out as a 2-piece band between their vocalist Jim Grey (he's also the vocalist for Arcane which are super good, so check them out) and their other guitarist Sam Vallen back in 2011. Their first album Moments From Ephemeral City was recorded then. It wasn't until 2013, that the other 3 members, including Zac Greensill, joined and recorded this album.
