I think Call of Duty should atleast let you play through the whole campaign from disc without requiring any downloads like the old days. It was like that till Infinite Warfare but since then every single one of them just require these huge updates even to play the campaign.

The disc here is basically a coaster. No game is on it lol.

I wonder how you download the campaign when the PlayStation or Xbox stores for ps4 and Xbox one close in few years it’s the dumpest idea to release games on disc when you need to download everything same with gold or game of the year editions where you need codes to get the DLCs

so for the ps4 cross gen it’s just a digital code for Ps5 that’s all it means you can’t stick the physical copies in the ps5 that would be so silly by a ps5 and play last gen games on it

Based on what I can tell the Xbox physical edition is the better offer since there is no 1 time use voucher so should anyone buy the Xbox version you are guaranteed both versions not matter if it is a new or used copy. I remember something similar happening with Infinite Warfare where the PS4 version had a voucher for MWR instead of the license being on the disc like the Xbox One version. However, it's unclear if you need to have the PS4 disc inserted like you needed for Infinite Warfare. I don't think that I need to tell anyone how terrible it is that the game isn't even on the disc which is something that has been getting worse by the year. I remember when MW (2019) came out and only had ≤8 GB on the disc and rest you had to download.
