Yeah the Series S may be a tad more blurry than the X but the lighting and shadows are what makes the games look amazing on the SS. Light and shadow really catch the eye, making things look more real.

Can somebody explain? I have a series S, in this video like many others show that the output resolution for this game is 1080p, and that Series X has a 2160p output. But doesn't matter which game you are playing, my TV shows the display always at 2160p. I understand that the console uses checkerboard to scale resolution, but I don't understand many KZfaqrs say "you are gonna have to settle with 1080p on series S" but the output on S is also 2160p. In fact, I have seen comparisons between native 4K and 1080p upscaled and cant tell the difference, so why is everyone saying that series S only supports 1080p output its 2160p? Regardless of native or chekerboarded.

@@skips7529 eso es porque series s usa el juego base de one y le implentan algunas mejoras, en cambio series x usa el juego base de one x, por eso se ve más detallado, no es porque la consola no pueda más, el calor ejemplo es ac valhalla, donde las diferencias entre xss y xsx son casi imperceptibles

The texture pack is exclusive to the one x and series x as an enhancement I believe. Even then it wouldn't be able to hide the pixels hanging off every object lol

You should! The heavy hitters won't be coming out until next year and you know that there will be a ton of updates with all the beta testers running out to buy next gen. One X is still a beast and I would put it above the SS. I'll do the transfer next year once the real games come out and I'll do a trade-in to cut down the price.

La única y gran diferencia es la resolución Xbox series S/X Ps5 solo tendran una diferencia en la resolución

Is it worth it buying a next gen console when you dont have a 4k tv? Because so far, a part from very tiny graphic details and performance, what really makes a difference to my eyes is resolution.

Yes it’s still worth it. You’re future proofing yourself and taking advantage of the ray tracing and better graphics.

Keep telling folks not to sleep on the One X. It is a great system to hold on to for another year once the next gen systems put out true next gen games that is specifically built for that system. No rush to get them with so many titles coming out on all platforms AND it allows for the next gen consoles to work out glitches and all the other launch issues. Let the other guys be beta testers and buy the system next year.

so right now theres no optimzation patches... but the extra performance on the series consoles allows higher dynamic resolutions and forced 16x antistropic filtering

Xbox series S is using the xbox One S version only with a textures patch, xbox series S is more powerful than xbox One X because 4 teraflops RDNA 2 is better than 6 teraflops GCN architecture of xbox One X

Series S has a weaker GPU but newer architecture but the CPU in series S is 4x as powerful more or less. Plus that quick SSD too.

Resolution tends to be higher on One X, the two have comparable fps, Series S's load times crush the load times on the One X. The SS also will have better graphical effects (like shadows). That said I've been pretty impressed with how well the One X is holding up in these videos.

@Avocaza still a pretty decent bit of hardware, no matter how old it is, the GPU can hold it's own, it's the CPU which holds it back.

@@RJ-91 Xbox series S Gpu is 20% better than xbox One X gpu but This Game is using the Xbox One S on the Series S. Jason Ronald (Creator of xbox series S/X) confirmed it, the RDNA 2 4 teraflops is better than the old 6 teraflops GCN architecture of xbox One X

It is possible to swap out the internal HDD with a SSD on the Xbox One X (which does improve load times in general). Not quite as fast as the next gens (due to the new series x/s custom NVMe’s) but still noticeable, especially for graphically intensive games. It was a fairly detailed process but it is doable. Just my experience, please let me know if this is no longer possible so other people don’t waste the time or effort. Thanks

Justv did mine 3 months ago with a Samsung 870 EVO and wow what a difference well worth it on every game, my One X will now hold me out to the Series X Elite comes out.
