I can’t get over the number of people that say “they don’t suit my eye”? Just went for a fitting on Trackman. Tried everything in the shop. Mavrik had great distance and a scary good dispersion. But I ordered the others that were shorter, more inconsistent and $200 more because they “suited my eye” 🤪 NOT!!!

Got fitted for the standard maverick today. good feel, higher ball flight and good dispersion gained about 12 yards over my present clubs( i know they are lower lofted but they flew higher and had the same spin) . its going to be a long week until they come.

Great review! Seems like Callaway is hoping the Mavrik irons will suit everyone. Potentially they could sell multiple sets to the same golfer based on progression or confidence! The big questions are: how did it feel off the sweet spot, how how about mishits, could you tell where a mishit occurred and distance dispersion? The "Distance improvement irons" aren't always the best for yardages. You'd hate to have an unexpected perfect swing into a green only to fly the green into the wood or water.

Are manufacturers starting to look after the average golfer on a realistic budget, I tip my hat to them . A really good option these clubs. great video Thanks for your efforts

That's a great price for a respected brand. Even Wilson D7 are getting on for £600. Titleist and Taylormade you are looking at four figures for Five to SW then bring in an AW, LW and you can spend eleven to fifteen hundred pounds. Great review as always!

It looks like Callaway is on a bit of a roll, they are producing some really good clubs. The Mavrik irons seem to check a lot of boxes.

Clever pricing, can buy set of them a driver and 3 wood for the same cost of just a set of irons from their competitors, I was expecting around 900 quid to grand for full set of irons

Golf clubs in Canada are typically expensive even used ones, stuff made for 2020 will usually be affordable in 4 to 5 years

If you had a choice, would you pick Maverick, Rogue or TM sims? Irons that is, I got the Rogues for a bday gift, but haven’t hit them because I’m not sure if I should return? I’m a really bad golfer lol. But I can get anyone of those 3

Hello Andy Loving these videos and the content that you are creating. Other KZfaq golfers seem to have lost the plot including Crossfield and Shields The Mavrick Pros look ace and are priced exactly where they should be. It’s a shame they didn’t price the Maverick Driver at sub £400. Golf manufacturers have been taking advantage of golfers over the last 4 years. I purchased a set of Callaway Apex CF16 a few years ago for 105 per club. They are now priced at 150 per club. This is ridiculous.

Maybe you should change your Mic. The sound seems to me pretty bad.

They look like VERY forgiving clubs given your swing plane - looking at getting a set myself!

We have the max and standard in our pro shop - I do not like them, they do not suit my eye, just too chunky particular on the top line. The Pro looks a nice club but I think the Apex Pro is even nicer. Price wise, kudos to Callaway for highly reasonable pricing. Would make a good set for someone who is only just starting golf

Great vid!! I believe mavrik Max has more loft then standard because it's designed for slower swing speeds players. I wish my 14 yr old daughter wouldn't have been fit last year that extra loft would be amazing

679 pounds UK is $1,171 Canadian that's what typical Callaway irons sell for in Canada. Very unaffordable.

Turn off the music.. It's terrible. I just got a Mavrik 4 iron and hope to test it out in 2024 when lockdown ends.

Hey Andy, the sound quality was poor .. not the wind ... Lou’s was ok... maybe yours was a little close to your mouth, else the mic needs changing.. enjoyed the vid otherwise

Sensible pricing - interesting to get a take from Lewis as well - he strikes the ball superbly but still favoured the standard product The only benefit of the data - or shots on trackman, is that it shows dispersion differences

Andy I think a lot of the makers are trying to get to our egos by putting PRO on their clubs.

Callaway certainly seems to have thrown a lot of tech into their Mavrik Iron range and that price does seem surprisingly low (and we can't say that too often these days).
