Caller confronts Rabbi Tovia Singer with pressing questions: Do you believe that the Christian Bible is a complete fabrication? Is there any truth at all in the New Testament? Did you reach your conclusion by studying all of the Christian Bible with an open mind, or did you have a preconceived notion that it is a fabrication and then set out to prove your position? Don’t miss Rabbi Singer’s in-depth response. Rabbi Singer also reveals how the Church created and used the “Septuagint” to support fabricated passages in the Jewish Scriptures.

@@ProgressiveTeen: The "quran" is NOT scripture that was given to man by God, and it blasphemously, arrogantly and self-righteously DENIES the ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding today!) Torah that God gave to Moses on Mt. Sinai, by saying that it is "corrupted"! God told us that the Torah, that He gave to Moses on Mt. Sinai, is ETERNAL, therefore He DID NOT ALLOW IT to become "corrupted"!! Do some actually research and learn from the rabbis, who have been studying the original Hebrew all the way back to Mt. Sinai!

@Mansoor Ahmad Wow, you are simply ASSUMING that an opponent hasn't read the Qur'an. I personally have read the Qur'an (front to back) some three times where I took numerous notes. The issue I have with your comment is that you said that if you don't understand a particular Sura, you should seek out an Islamic scholar. What you are really saying is that you should ask a scholar who has a heavy bias towards Islam and will ensure the interpretation is nice and comfy for you. And what type of scholar should you as ask? A moderate Sunni? What about hardliner Sunni? Or maybe you should ask the nice Sufi Imam about a particular passage? Or maybe not, maybe you should ask a Sufi hardliner! Wait a minute!!! maybe Sunnis and Sufis have constantly, and deliberately misinterpreted the Qur'an all over the place simply to prop up their particular flavour of Islam, so why not ask a moderate Shi'ite Scholar, or maybe a hardliner one instead! Point is that you will not get a proper answer from anyone of them. Another point is if the Qur'an came from God Himself (via an angel) then surely there shouldn't be any difficulty in understanding God's words, no matter how hard you want it to say something else, after all, isn't Allah all-knowing? Couldn't he write a book that isn't open to interpretation or confusion,? Another issue: You only mentioned the Qur'an, but what I've learnt is that to understand Islam, you have to read what all the Hadiths have to say, and on top of this, it helps if you study the history of Muhammad and how Islam spread. Do all these things and one cannot deny that Islam is inherently a violent religion and very autocratic one at that. It was spread by lies and by swords, and millions of people throughout the world have either been traumatized or killed by that religion. The world would be a better place if Muhammad have never been born. Muhammad was a curse on humanity, and that curse is still spreading like a disease.

dangerous statement for idiots/simpletons perhaps... a believer is one who has adheres by his righteous acts, and is atoned when consciousness of the reprimanded act has been taken into accounts.. therefore upon a believers death he is guaranteed the resurrection by Jesus s purchase of their souls...that is all atonement of sin means and this rooted in Judaism.

Thats not how it works, if you continue to sin willfully it makes Christs blood as mud in your life because youre willfully diaobeying Gods commands. @Martin Solomon To me, it is clear if you do not honor the Son you do not honor the Father, for the Son is sent of the Father. I can get more into this when I'm off work in a few hours and try to address each of your points, because they deserve to be addressed. I love you too, thanks.
@agentjackstone3543

@Martin Solomon I hope you actually read all of this lol! So clearly Isaiah 43:10-11 is the Lord declaring Himself the savior of Israel and affirming that He is the only God and that He is eternal. If we read on we see that Babylon is to be destroyed and after that the Lord pronounces Israel's shortcomings. I wish you would have brought up Isaiah 42 instead... "Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles." Then if we go to Mathew 12:15-21 we find this... "But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; And charged them that they should not make him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles." Now on to your point about the Lord's prayer. The Lord's prayer was intended as a template to guide believers in prayer, not something to repeat like a robot. You say Jesus does not mention praying to the Son in the Lord's prayer. I agree, and keep in mind that at the time when Jesus was saying these things he had not yet been glorified; in the sense that the disciples were still expecting messiah to establish an earthly kingdom and free them from Roman rule, not be crucified and resurrected and ascend to heaven. Now, after Jesus' death and resurrection he appears to the disciples in Mathew 28 beginning at verse 16. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." So there you have it...But even if Jesus hadn't personally said to pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (which I've demonstrated that he did,) you still have all of these statements I've listed below being made by either Jesus, his disciples, or prophets. John 10:30 "I and my Father are one." Corinthians 8:6 "yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live." 2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Isaiah 9 beginning in verse 6 "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." In Revelation 22:13, probably one of the most important verses, Jesus says "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," corresponding to the Lords declaration of externality in Isaiah 43 10:11 Now as for the eucharist, I'm just assuming you're calling it into question. Well, what's Jesus have to say about it? Luke 22:19 20 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me." Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you." It's purely symbolic of his death and was meant to be observed solemnly, not some bizarre cannibal ritual like some insuiate. And as far as how the 33,000 different Christian denominations practice that? I don't know. Not my concern, just what the text says. When it comes to it comes to iconography of Miriam I would tell you to talk to a Catholic about it. I know that iconography serves several purposes according to the Orthodox and Catholic churches but I'm not apart of either, or any church for that matter. I agree with you that the sabbath is on Saturday and never changed. I don't even really want to get into that because I don't observe it. Faith and grace alone is crap. You referred to James and in James 2:15-17 he says "Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." The replacement of the temples you mentioned didn't come until much later out of necessity. There was actually massive construction of new churches and cathedrals. At first the pagan temples were preserved. Until around the 6th or 7th centuries I think because of barbarian invansions, they needed the materials, and then in the 10th century building on ruins. Here's a description of the attitude towards pagan temples in the 4th century “That Christian emperors continued to protect the temple buildings of Rome is evident from their legislation. A law by Constantius and Constans, issued to the urban prefect of Rome, already prescribed that ‘although all superstitions must be completely eradicated, nevertheless, it is Our will that the buildings of the temples situated outside the walls shall remain untouched and uninjured’” (Theodosian Code, 16.10.3)

We have text fragments from around the Babylonian exile (~540 BC) for the Torah itself and comments from surrounding civilizations of Israel being captured at various times. AFAIK the current consensus is that the Torah was first written down during the exile but we have evidence of at least the dietary restriction on pork being practiced far earlier in Canaan. Maybe the Hittite or Ugarit texts have more information though. There's an Egyptian inscription mentioning events that sound similar to three of the plagues but it could just be hyperbolic language: the river was blood and made people sick to drink it, pestilence among the livestock and sickness among the people.

@@dabatulard6045 Mary, the sister of Aaron? Let us look at Noble Verse 19:27-28 "At length she brought The (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: 'O Mary ! Truly an amazing thing Hast thou brought ! O sister of Aaron ! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!'" There are no errors in the above Noble Verses!. Let us look at what Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said regarding this Noble Verse: Mughira b. Shu'ba reported: "When I came to Najran, they (the Christians of Najran) asked me: You read "O sister of Harun (Aaron)" (i. e. Mary) in the Qur'an, whereas Moses was born much before Jesus. When I came back to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) I asked him about that, whereupon he said: They (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after the names of Apostles and pious persons who had gone before them. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book on General Behaviour (Kitab Al-Adab), Book 025, Number 5326)" As we clearly see from the Saying (Hadith) of our beloved Prophet, this issue was brought to him before and he clearly responded to it. The false claim made against our Prophet about him meaning that Mary was a biological sister of Aaron is clearly refuted. The People of Isreal used to call people by either their last names, or by adding words such as you "Son of..." or "Brother of...." or "Sister of...." When they called people "O Son of...." they didn't mean for that person to be the actual biological son of the person whom they used his name. The other person could be a simply in the family tree or a last name. When Jesus was called "Jesus the son of David" for instance, the Jews didn't mean to call Jesus the actual biological son of David. Similarily, when they called Mary "O sister of Aaron", they meant to call her sister of Aaron in faith !. Not the actual biological sister of Aaron. The Noble Quran talked about Aaron being Moses's biological brother and messenger to Pharoah in Noble Verses 2:248, 4:163, 6:84, 7:122, 7:142, 7:150-151, 10:75, 10:87, 10:89, 19:28, 19:53, 20:30-35, 20:42, 20:70, 20:92-94, 21:48, 21:23, 21:45, 25:35-36, 26:13, 26:48, 28:34-35, 37:114-122 and many more..... The Noble Quran also talks about Moses being the People of Isreal's first Messenger of GOD in Noble Verses 2:108, 2:248, 4:153, 5:20-26, 6:84, 14:8, 19:51-53, 22:44, 25:35-36, 28:3, 37:114-122, 18:60-82, 20:9-48, 27:7-12, 28:29-35, 79:15-19, 7:109-126, 10:79-82, 20:56-73, 26:38-51, 33:7, 2:53, 2:87, 2:136, 3:84, 6:91, 6:154, 7:144-145, 10:87, 11:110, 14:5, 17:2, 21:48, and may more.... The Noble Quran also talks about Jesus comming to the people of Isreal so many years after Moses and the many other Messengers of GOD that were sent to the People of Isreal in Noble Verses 3:49-51, 5:46, 5:72, 43:59, 61:6, 61:14, 4:171, 5:75, 43:59, 42:13, 4:172, 19:30, 43:64, 43:63, 3:52-54, 5:111-113, 57:27, 61:14, 61:6 and many more..... The Noble Quran also talks about Mary being the biological Mother of Jesus in Noble Verses 3:35-37, 19:22-26, 21:91, 66:12, 5:75, 21:91, 4:156, 4:171, 5:17, 5:116, 21:91, 3:42-51, 19:16-21, and many more... So if the Noble Quran speaks clearly about Aaron being the biological brother of Moses, and speaks clearly about Jesus comming many years after Moses and the many other Messengers of GOD that were sent to the people of Isreal, and speaks clearly about Mary being the Mother of Jesus, then therefore, the Noble Quran (1) Recognizes Mary as a woman who was born long years after Aaron, and (2) When the Jews called Mary 'O sister of Aaron..', then meant it to be Sister of Aaron in faith only and not a biological sister.

Couldn't have quoted Septuaginta other than the 5 books of Moses, as the Septuaginta only comprised the 5 books of Moses, as the rabbi states in another video. About the original Septuaginta, which later was lost: as Paul was missioning to Greek speaking heathens, why couldn't he have quoted the orginal Septuaginta? Not quoting Jewish Tanakh, as they did not understand Hebrew? Now I have to look in the Pauline letters which quotes from the Jewish scriptures he made, or which quotes were added by later Christians to his letters. And compare those quotes with the Tanakh.

Is is possible that early Christians believed in one God because of Mark12:29-30. Also I like to know why early Christians were called catholic. The word kath’-holēs (catholic) is used in Act(9:31). Does the word catholic implies believing in one God because the word holēs(root word for catholic) is used in Mark12:29-30 four times.
@ToviaSinger1
@ToviaSinger1 7 жыл бұрын
The word Catholic does not appear anywhere in Acts 9:31. Instead, the word ekklesía, which means a place of meeting appears in this passage. The first record of any person to have ever used the term Catholic Church is Ignatius of Antioch, an early second century church father.

Before the first day, Genesis said G-d already created the heavens, earth and water. Light was created by fiat. They were created with perfect ex nilho. But everything after that has an aspect of imperfect ex nilho- the water was split into the heaven and earth, it gave forth the fish, luminaries were placed in heaven, the earth gave out plants and animals. The ex nilho of everything except the heavens, earth water and light was imperfect- everything else had an aspect of Ex nihilo nihil fit mixed with pure ex nilho- they were created by an ex nilho fiat applied to an already created thing . But man has two aspects- earthly- "man from the ground" and spiritual "and G-d breathed the spirit of life...". The former is that imperfect ex nilho- Ex nihilo nihil fit and ex nilho mixed, ex nilho fiat on an already created thing. But the latter, the soul was as ex nilho as the earth itself. Man is unique in having an aspect of imperfect ex nilho- ex nilho fiat applied to an already created thing WITH a pure ex nilho fiat. Thus, "let us make man" -G-d says: "Let man be created in a plurality of creative methods- my pure ex nilho fiat, and an ex nilho fiat applied to an already created thing.

Admits I am wrestling with what I believe, Southern Baptist but of Jewish heritage, I love the Lord. Some of my biggest challenges to my Christian faith are the ways that some of what should be the holiest of our holidays (be sure and pick up your Easter ham and dye eggs for outreach) are celebrated and things that the Bible says we should be doing and celebrating(Passover) and observing (Sabbath)we are not, but by all means let have a Halloween party ( I choose not to participate in what I consider the more obviously insulting to our Lord ) I read and study a lot am certain there are people who think I should just take their word for what the Bible does and does not say but that's not good enough for me, I want to know scripture so well that no one can mess with my head on that subject. Rabbi Tovia Singer does a better job of quoting the Christian Bible then most so-called Christians. Will continue to listen to what I consider his very well thought out answers to a wide variety of questions.

If the two nations(southern and northern(1st born and 2nd born) started out in union and divided would it not make sense the two representatives mbd and mbj would also start out in union and divide...but where are they unified? We know Messiah ben Joseph comes from the 2nd born birthright line of Joseph(hence the name) and Messiah ben David comes from the sceptre line of Judah...so we see a Judah and Joseph and we know those two did not always get along so well. Joseph will use the birthright in order to offer the sacrifice(high priest) in the millennium as that is a birthright holders position...Mbd will use the sceptre position to rule the nations as king david. The two become divided over the birthright we see in the throne room Joshua the high priest has an adversary...if you guessed it is the firstborn you would be correct...where do we see mbd the sceptre holder in the throne room Rev 12 the man-child who will rule the nations...God unifies them and they are sent to earth to unify the firstborn and 2nd born nation that all of Israel will be one house once again. In the torah we see example after example of how the firstborn and 2nd born do not get along....but after the throne room visit they will

Well, as someone who doesn't know what to make of the 3 alternative versions of the afterlife presented in the OT, or the fact that Yewhey is the Phonecian god of iron, and the "People of Israel" refers to the people created/governed by Saturn, or that Elohim refers to the Caananite creator god - implying that the god of the OT embodies the aspects of at least 3 different cosmic deities, the fact that the story of Noah and various books of the OT seem to be cherry picking Zoroastrian mythos, etc. I don't frankly know what to make of the Jews. If you then add on top mystical rabbinical traditions such as Hermeticism and Kabbalah, then I simply don't know what to say about the Jewish tradition apart from noting that it's not the same religion today that it was in 1500 BC.

*K. Day:* If you read that passage VERY carefully, you will discover that the "new covenant" is a miracle that God will perform for the Jewish people _in Messianic times_ (hasn't happened yet!) where He will place His Torah DIRECTLY into the hearts and minds of the Jewish people, so that they will no longer need to study and teach Torah, because they will already KNOW it by heart, due to the miracle! It says it very clearly right there in the text, but Christianity chooses to bastardize what the text actually says, to 'Christianize' God's original message - this is blasphemous and arrogant! FYI, "new covenant" does not in any way equate to "New Testament" - not even close! Please do some research on your religion for YOURSELF and you WILL discover that it did NOT come from God, Creator of the universe.

Yeah, Mark 12:29 quotes the Shema Yisroel...but after that...we still have a Christianity since the late-2nd century trying to divide one by three cleanly (and still getting that recurring .33333333333333 ad infinitum)...prior to that with Theophilus of Antioch talking a Gnostic God/Logos/Sophia triad...and before that, Two Powers in Heaven...so doesn't matter which way you look ag it, the NT wasn't really focused on the Shema. However...that's not to say an early NT canon wasn't based on some VARIATION of Jewish Scripture...be that Samaritan theology or Alexandria's Hellenicised and Platonised interpretation via Philo. Therin lies the problem: It wasn't derived from Torah Judaism, but on syncretism. Howvever, that was the situation in 70 c.e. There ends up being outright forgery at two atages of the 2nd century...first with some over-prolific idiot running around Ephesus to Antioch claiming he was a student of John, while ending up with a heap of aliases...and then there's Irenaeus, paid by the emperor Commodus adding more forgery, swiping an earlier Christianity's material, then declaring the earlier version heretical. It'a bad enough the LATE-1ST version was favoured more by Samaritans, Hellenicised Jews and Greek while being totally against Jerusalem-based Judaism...but the second century version relies too much on dubious and outright forgery as well as by Irenaeus' time outright plagiarism. When practically all we know of disciples like Thomas, Andrew, Peter and John comes through Leucius Charinus (known to Lucian as Peregrinus Proteus) AKA Papias, AKA Ignatius, AKA Polycarp and perhaps even AKA second-century Christian Josephus Hegessipus. Gee, and nobody connects the name Luke to Leucius...might also point out no one before Irenaeus even had mentioned a Gospel of Luke.

I think the same can be said about Christianity as well. Certainly anyone examining Christianity from a historical perspective would be inclined to come to the conclusion that Catholicism and Protestantism are built on a pyramid of falsehood and half truths. The issue really becomes, is the Orthodox/Coptic faith an acceptable tradition or did Christianity itself go off the rails in the 1st and 2nd century? Mind you, the Manichaens and the Mandeans both worshipped Jesus but did not claim he was "god". I think the deification of Jesus is what a lot of people have trouble with.

When an OT scripture is quoted in the NT a little differently, it is due to progressive revelation, not to the unimportance of words or the lack of preservation. Example: Hebrews 10:5-9 quotes Psalm 40:6-8 twice. First quote refers to the Messiah. Second quote refers to saved Israel.

The land is going to be shared among the tribes returning from Babylon and all other sites to where they have been dispersed. I just noticed something. In the New Testament, the prophecy of the Anti-Christ sounds eerily similar to the story of Jesus. Here's a quote from a Catholic bishop that sums up the prophecy: "The Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers... he will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity and plenty not as means to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves... He will tempt Christians with the same three temptations with which he tempted Christ... He will have one great secret which he will tell to no one: he will not believe in God. Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect. He will set up a counterchurch... It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the Antichrist that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ." Lets dissect it. 1) "The AntiChrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers... he will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity and plenty not as a means to lead us to God but as ends in themselves" Isn't that exactly what Jesus did? He distinguished himself from the rest of the Jewish rabbis of that period by being... a great humanitarian. He talked peace, prosperity and plenty as a means to lead people not to Judaism or even the God of the Torah but to worship himself as God in order to avoid hell. Jesus makes himself The Gatekeeper to God, and you can't find God without first accepting Jesus. That is blasphemy. 2) "He will tempt Christians with the same three temptations with which he tempted Christ." Temptation #1: the physical temptation. The devil tells Jesus to prove himself the Son of God by turning stones into loaves of bread. Surely the Son of God, and therefor God Himself, could easily do this to prove he is not a false prophet. Jesus gives a cop out of an answer instead, and avoids having to prove himself. Christians believe they can be "saved" even after a lifetime of sin, of doing whatever the hell they want. As long as you sell your soul to Jesus a second before you die you're golden. Temptation #2: the emotional/spiritual temptation. Aka, questioning God's love. The devil tells Jesus to jump off the roof of a temple, saying that God will protect his fall. Jesus responds, again, with a cop out and says "you must not test the Lord your God". Isn't that EXACTLY what you're doing, Jesus? Testing the Lord YOUR GOD? Teaching your disciples to question their Jewish faith by misleading them to believe that YOU are God? Temptation #3: the temptation of power. The devil offers Jesus all of the kingdoms of the world and their glory, Jesus refuses, claiming 'you must worship the Lord your God, and serve ONLY HIM". That's not what you did, Jesus. You made yourself out to be God and spiritually blackmailed Jews to believe YOU are God, and your legacy is that almost all of the kingdoms of the world now worship you as God instead of worshiping THE REAL GOD. 3) "He will have one great secret which he will tell to no one: he will not believe in God." Only a man who doesn't believe in the God of the Hebrew bible would have the audacity to call himself God and break the first commandment, and have his disciples tell their adherents to not follow God's law given to Moses on Mt. Sinai. Also, unlike David who cried out "why have you forsaken me?", Jesus crying out the same sentence on the cross makes absolutely no sense if Jesus knew the prophecy all along. Surely this moment, of all moments, would be the moment where he DOESN'T question God's love (see also point #2 again). 4) "Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect. He will set up a counterchurch... It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the Antichrist that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ." Considering the fact that Jesus and his disciples were Jews, you can replace the word "Church" with "synagogue", as they essentially have the exact same meaning, both literally and figuratively. What Jesus and his disciples created was a Godless form of Judaism, where God was replaced by Jesus, who was the human placeholder for God in his mind, and emptied this form of Judaism from its divine content by repurposing and repackaging bits and pieces of Judaism WITHOUT THE MAIN CHARACTER - HASHEM. All of the mental gymanstics in the world cannot excuse the simple fact that in Christianity it is not יה-ה who is the centerpiece but Jesus of Nazareth, a man claiming to be God. This "church" his disciples created, which we still see today, has all the bells and whistles of a Jewish synagogue but it's missing GOD, God's laws, etc. And finally, when you look at the legacy of Jesus, what is that legacy? Like what's the REAL legacy? Is it world peace? Does this world look like a post-Messianic world? Or maybe, just maybe, was his legacy THOUSANDS of years of persecution of God's people, the demonization of Judaism, of Jewish people, and he managed to turn billions of people AWAY from Hashem. He didn't bring Christians to Hashem, he brought them to Christ. If Jesus isn't the Messiah, and there's zero evidence that he was, and there is evidence that he WASN'T, then that makes Jesus of Nazareth, at best, a false prophet. And at worst, THE false prophet. The Great Deceiver himself.

It has taken 50 years to unlearn the filth therein. I hope to now be Worthy to ESCAPE those errors, according to Scripture.

I grew up in a Baptist church, my father was the pastor. I thought they were all nuts. At 18 I went to boot camp and decided I was an atheist. At 46 I had an experience that convinced me that there was a God, so I went to the Christian Bible with a pro Christian bias, but it still made no sense to me. Fortunately I kept going. I got to Genesis where God tells Cain do well, be accepted. Don't, and sin is waiting for you. That makes sense. Then I got to Solomon dedicating the Temple and he prays that foreigners accept God, not that they become Jews. So I wondered, can we do that now? After a few Google searches I discover that you could. I became a Noahide before I knew they existed. I found Rabbi Singer while trying to learn more, and my Christian wife said "he sounds just like you". The problems in the NT aren't hidden. But I needed nearly 30 years to clear my head of the false views they teach so I could worship God in truth. I'm lucky I had the courage to reject the false gods as a teenager. It made it possible for me to accept the one true God later in life. I pray everyday that my family and friends will seek Hashem so they can find him too.

The extant manuscripts of the writings of the first-century Romano-Jewish historian Flavius Josephus include references to Jesus and the origins of Christianity. Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews, written around 93-94 AD, includes two references to the biblical Jesus Christ in Books 18 and 20 and a reference to John the Baptist in Book 18. Scholarly opinion varies on the total or partial authenticity of the reference in Book 18, Chapter 3, 3 of the Antiquities, a passage that states that Jesus the Messiah was a wise teacher who was crucified by Pilate, usually called the Testimonium Flavianum. The general scholarly view is that while the Testimonium Flavianum is most likely not authentic in its entirety, it is broadly agreed upon that it originally consisted of an authentic nucleus, which was then subject to Christian interpolation and/or alteration. Although the exact nature and extent of the Christian redaction remains unclear, broad consensus exists as to what the original text of the Testimonium by Josephus would have looked like. Modern scholarship has largely acknowledged the authenticity of the reference in Book 20, Chapter 9, 1 of the Antiquities to "the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James" and considers it as having the highest level of authenticity among the references of Josephus to Christianity. Almost all modern scholars consider the reference in Book 18, Chapter 5, 2 of the Antiquities to the imprisonment and death of John the Baptist also to be authentic and not a Christian interpolation. The references found in Antiquities have no parallel texts in the other work by Josephus such as The Jewish War, written 20 years earlier, but some scholars have provided explanations for their absence. A number of variations exist between the statements by Josephus regarding the deaths of James and John the Baptist and the New Testament accounts. Scholars generally view these variations as indications that the Josephus passages are not interpolations, for a Christian interpolator would have made them correspond to the New Testament accounts, not differ from them.

(Isaiah 52:13-15) "Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For He shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He has no form or comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not (rejected by His own people). Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried away our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised (Genesis 3:15) for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opens not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation (1st century Jews were the generation of Jesus)? For He was cut off (killed) out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was He stricken. And He made His grave with the wicked (the thief on the cross), and with the rich in His death (the rich man gave Jesus his tomb); because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." The New Testament is a complete fabrication, from start to finish. It was written by Josephus Flavius, a Jew who went over to the Roman side, in order to undermine Judaism, which was a thorn in the side of the Roman Empire. He wanted to create an alternative religion for people to flock to, in order to prevent people from converting to Judaism, and he succeeded hugely. The alternative religion that he devised (birth in a manger, a last supper, etc.) was based almost entirely on something known as Mithraism.

The Oral Torah explains everything that is written. Without it, we will be interpreting it how we want it which produces chaos and confusion and lead everyone to believe multiple gods. The ORAL Torah was what sustained the Jewish existence. Anyone can take the written Torah to themselves but the ORAL Torah will never be taken away from the JEWS. Another difference is that כי was spelled as כיא which does not change meaning or pronunciation. It just has some variable spelling, most likely done to help readers of the time without vowels. There are all sorts of these small variant spellings, but none change the meaning or even the pronunciation for the most part. Every time the vowel o or u is used in the Masoretic text, it is replaced by a ו in the DSS. Every time the vowel i is used Masoretic text it is replaced by a י in the DSS.
