So special to receive a letter from a friend using the art of calligraphy. My grandmother's letters were so beautiful. I took classes many years ago to learn this art. Hand written wedding invitations are so special too.

Lovely! It's a shame penmanship has been disrgarded for decades. My grandfather and elementary teachers used to make us practice hand writing and it was part of final grade through dictation and notebooks submission. We used to write like this. They pounded into us that handwriting is first impression of us to others. So we students used to pride ourselves for having beautiful handwriting.

It takes a long time to write like this and is impractical in scenarios other than making greeting cards etc. I mean a dying patient doesn't give two shits how the doctors handwriting is... He/she just wants the bloody prescription...
