Where I am from we got the saying "if people didn't think you were mean when they first saw you, you failed as a pretty girl" I think that saying applies to Stella really well. She's not mean nor rude but you get that feeling when you see her for the first time, but as you watch the series you realize she's the opposite of mean and rude.

When you mentioned basing their forms on greek nymph's my mind went to Daphne and her title "Nymph of Magix"/"Nymph of Domino" so maybe this form is The Winx achieving their status as "Nymphs of [Insert Planet/Realm]"

This look is so gorgeous! Part of me always wanted Stella to have a "moon form" that emphasized blue, white, and silver in reference to her mom, and now I feel like that'd look great in your art style.

I could not agree more with the feelings you have about the Netflix live action, it is an absolute TRAIN WRECK! They made Stella so mean and shallow and took away Brandon like what the heck?! I could only make it through the first two episodes before I just couldn’t watch anymore. 🤦‍♀️

The name of the transformation could be Legenix or Divinix

What really exemplifies how the original design really didn’t fully portray Stella’s role was in how you said she was the fairy of sun AND moon and I was like: “wait, and MOON??? All I see is sun!” because her design, as you said, lacked any details relating to the moon. At least with that one character from LoliRock, even if her colours were predominantly yellow and orange, her only shape symbolism was the moon and such a colour can be interpreted with it (for example with emojis 🌙). But Stella? I can’t think of anything about her that screams “MOON”, not even pretending her hair is shaped into crescent moons like the girl from LoliRock is enough. TL:DR love your work, can’t wait for the others 🤩

Stella was my favourite character from the Winx when I was a kid :)

I absolutely love this. Imagining the pocket dimensions brings me so much joy. Like Blooms could be a verdant and bright field filled with life, but with rivers of lava were dangerous monsters reside, living in harmony with the peaceful animals. Stella's could be a regal looking kingdom built with golden and silver light within the vastness of a star filled and colorful space.

I think astrology predictions fits her really well. It could also be a conflict like in Kungfu panda where she tries to avoid certain events only to bring that events because she tries to avoid them. Another conflict that I can think of is that she slowly develop anxiety and avoiding others because no one believe her or think she brings misfortunes. BTW I love your art >

I know almost nothing about Winx Club, so I don't know if something similar already exists, but my first thought was that if you are basing their designs on Greek nymphs, then maybe you can lean more into that for the name. The Amazons immediately came to my mind, but you could also go more directly with the nymphs, since there are literally hundreds of them in Greek mythology all coming from different domains. And since this video is about Stella specifically, the Pleiades were a group of nymphs that were friends with Artemis, that were immortalized in the stars by Zeus. To make a story short the giant Orion wouldn't stop harassing them and after Artemis asks Zeus to do something about it, he turns the Pleiades into stars so that Orion can't get to them. Peeved that she can't see her friends anymore, Artemis has her brother Apollo kill Orion with with a giant scorpion. After Orion is dead, Zeus turns him into a constellation so he can continue chasing the Pleiades (because Zeus is an asshole) as well as the scorpion so it can chase Orion across the sky. Conceptually, you could have Stella have star based attacks and abilities based around this myth, to represent her stars theme. Side note: There are a bunch of different versions about how Orion becomes a constellation, but this is the one that includes the Pleiades.

I always thought that Stella would make an awsome queen. She is caring and kind, doesn't hesitate to put her life on stake to protect her loved ones and still she is sassy enough to put everyone in line who tries to test her. I love that your design captures that

This form and its abilities remembers me of something like dreamland/mindscape. The idea that inside your mind you have your own world, your own dimension that changes as you change, like a lucid dream but with nothing holding you back, only yourself.

My bad art habit is quitting. I have so many ideas of what I want my characters to look like, but I hate how I draw, I feel like I'm never good enough, and I'm never going to get good enough. I've practiced and studied on my own, but I'm still struggling. Just practicing doesn't seem to work for me, and I feel like there's something wrong with me because I can't seem to just get better from practice, like everyone giving me the advice did.

The Netflix adaptation is definitely a case of "Adults don't like bright and colorful, girly visuals". That we see through a lot of adult animation and live action adaptations. They always seem to think they need to make everything dark and edgy for adults to enjoy it. I would have loved to see a Winx adaptation with darker story elements, but maintaining the bright and colorful designs. Having that kind of contrast between the story and the setting can create a really cool vibe. Where everything seems bright and happy on the surface but is hiding a darkness underneath. It's a great visual storytelling tool and it's dissapointing that they didn't take advantage of it

Love your Callimarix (Name-in-progress) Stella!!!🧡🧡🧡 I got excited when you talked about the connection of Stella's powers and fortune-telling, especially the love fortune aspect and how interested she's into those topics For the top-tier fairy title, maybe you could try playing with words associated with goddesses (since from what I can tell, all the girls will look like these powerful goddess-like beings that will be honored dearly by the whole universe/s!) like 'Demix' ( the prefix for god or goddess 'DEMI' + *Winx ) I don't know if your fanart universe for Callimarix will allow words containing bad meanings, especially towards the main girls because when I was searching for a good name for the legend tier fairy form, I accidentally found out that ' mix with an 'n' as the third letter ' means a 'unique' kind of woman.... ...but I think adding it into 'Demix' will be really ironic since this legendary tier has the fairy forms being inspired by greek goddesses and the 'uniqueness' from that *word is often exhibited by Greek gods, especially Zeus, the 'unique' one of them all 😂 Whether you use it or not, I really adore your project of giving the Winx Club girls justice with blessing them these goddess tier fairy forms and I wish you luck for the upcoming girls (and characters from other series) you're going to tackle after this!!! (...sorry for the long comment😅... BTW, take care of yourself and rehydrated often!!!)

I didn't think that pink would work with the rest of the palette and somehow you've made it work. I love your art and the design for Stella focusing more on the moon aspect that waned off as the series progress. I've stopped watching your content for awhile and am catching up with all the videos and I've got to say, I love the new stills too. They feel a lot more expressive and the design feels a lot more complex. :D (Also, side note, the pocket dimension lowkey sounds like Mordenkeinan's Magnificent Mansion and it's great)

I honestly think it would have been so cool if they had pulled more from (in this case) greek mythology, and made the fairies of the sun and the moon different people. not necessarily twins like Apollo and Artemis are, but they could have been mirror images in a sense, and two sides of the same coin could have made an entire story arc about them realizing they aren't opposites and don't need to be rivals, just because they both are fairies of important celestial bodies edit: if they were twins and both heirs to their kingdom, that could be a big part of their rivalry. Stella's arc could be similar to what it is now, acting more spoiled and prideful at the start. Maybe it could even be because of what she thinks a queen has to be: powerful and distant. Her sister, on the other hand, might think a queen's subjects are everything, acting as a bit of a pushover at first and always putting her own needs last. they would have to learn that they are at their best when they work together. in this version, Stella's sibling would probably have been the one to help her when she was turned into a monster edit2: their arc could also be part of their designs in a big way, shifting from very clear and standalone sun and moon designs to more dusk and dawn inspired designs as they grow closer

what you said about Stella being a better Chloe is so true, even her parents are divorced like Chloe's, even though Chloe's parents just hate each other. I think Astruc has an issue with good characters like Stella, who are rich, famous and have divorced parents, but Iginio Straffi isn't even close to Thomas. I believe he's a really nice person, unlike Astruc who thinks rich=evil.

If you're still looking for a name I thought of one that ya might like Going off of the names of the first forms Charmix and Enchantix I felt a name that acted as a kind of spiritual successor to those since I'm assuming this form is the direct follow up to Enchantix The names I thought of were either Astonix (for Astonishing), Divinix (for how divine the girls look in the form) or Beyondix (since this power goes beyond the final fairy form to ascend to a new level of greatness) I thought these names names would work really well since for the most part they still fit into the same naming category as the first 2 forms If ya like any of the names feel free to use em, LOVE the 2 designs you've done so far btw!!! ❤✨

You Mention that Stella is into astrology and stuff and now I want an episode of the girls having a sleepover. Stella is a sleepover buff and it starts off stereotypical girly things like makeovers, spin the bottle, smores, pillow fights ect But then Stella busts out her fortune telling stuff and the mood gets a little eerie. She says this will make their bond stronger and they all do those 'witchcraft' games girls do at sleepovers like, stiff as a board light as a feather, tarot card readings, tell ghost stories, maybe try and communicate with ghosts or the fairy equivalent I just think it'd be really cute if this is the kind of niche stuff Stella is really into and she only shares with her friends because she's opening up to them and showing her unique interests

I love the wings!! The orange and pink look so good, and the little blue at the end makes me think of an oncoming dusk(or chasing the night away). And you were right, the laurel of moon phases just works(I imagine the new moon being at the back as a sort of hair clip) One thing I feel the need to comment on is the shape of the wing itself. Again, there's nothing wrong with them. Just that, from the sketch, it looked to me like the sun part was actually more like an edge than part of the design. Which I think could have done 2 things: 1. Drawn attention to the rest of the wing. Particularly, the "radiating from a central point" aspect of it. I think they were contrasting against the negative space of the "cut" centre 2. Give them an angelic look. I was imagining the wings curving slightly inward before extending, kind of like bird wings. Which combined with her theme of celestial bodies, would have an added angelic motif to the design, like a "messenger of the heavens"

She is GORGEOUS!🥰🥳🎆🎇💗💕 Love her! I have to ask once you are done with the Winx will you redesign the villains too!? I feel they need some better forms too. My favorite villain being Valtor. I feel like they could have done better with him and have him maybe after breaking The Ancestresses control get some redemption,like Zuko! His connection with Bloom and him being her dark twin flame wasn't used to its full potential. I kinda shipped them too cause I felt like they had that chemistry and their magical connection and two sides of the same coin is a trope I love. I also never liked Sky and kinda holded a grudge for lieing about who he really was in the beggining and making Brandon lie too and cheating on his fiance.😬 Yeah,he never really apologised and had Diaspro turn into Bloom archenemy. And he was boring with no chemistry with Bloom.😩😫 I hope the Guys get some power up cause in later seasons they kinda turn useless. And It seemed unfair for just the girls to be powerful. And I guess knowing more about the Magical Dimension would be nice.

I love her design; she looks like a Sun and Moon goddess with this design. I love the golden bracelets, her golden tiara representing all the lunar cycles, her hair is simple yet gorgeous and elegant, and all the colours are lovely. Also loved how you gave her a pale shade of blonde than her normal shade to avoid clashing with her orange / blue / yellow colour palette and how the design is Greek-inspired (since Solaria is heavily Greek / Roman inspired). I agree with you in the sense that despite her privileged background and status, Stella isn’t your typical rich brat or mean girl, but someone who wants to stand out on her own and wants to make a difference for herself. Even though she can be bossy and boastful, she cares for her loved ones and will always protect them no matter what. Deep down, she can be compassionate and emotional (I heard from another video that her moon magic manifests in the shape of mirrors) because the moon reflects the sun’s light and is redirected to the Earth. Plus, Stella used her lunar powers twice on two fairy forms: her Charmix booster (S2) and Harmonix. Also, loved the fact that you didn’t change her character arc at all. Still, I loved how you incorporated astrology as part of her powers in your headcanon, as the sun, the moon, and the stars are essential aspects of astrology. Maybe Stella likes to use it to see her relationship with others (especially Brandon). P.S.A. - I can’t wait to see Flora and what design you’re going to give her. If you wonder why Stella has pink accents on her color palette? I think they symbolise sunrises given that the sunlight has a long distance to travel through the sky before reaching Earth.

I have to admit that Stella is not my favorite character in the Winx Club series, but I must admit that your design for Stella was jaw droppingly stunning and gorgeous. Since the transformaton is based on nymphs, it could be called just nymphix... Or musix. It could be for story based around muses and art and give Musa time to shine. I am not sure though how it wouldatch the rest of your lore... Maybe the great, remembered for ever deeds would be worth of poems (in relation to Kaliope) and remembered in history (in relation to... Well, the Muse of history whose name I forgot). And the pocket dimensions would be realms of every girl imagination coming true

I do wish the show had Stella use magic connected to the moon. Since she is the princess/fairy of sun AND moon. I only remember her using sun magic and in season 2 she got sick in caves because moon magic if I remember correctly.

I like that you look at these childhood shows with an analytic lens i'd like to suggest that you take a look at sugar sugar rune (maybe you watched it too) it's a magical girl show that focuses on two best friends who have to compete against each other for the title of queen of the world of magic. and at the same time they have to blend in the human world and conquer human hearts to gain points in the race to the throne but they can't give their hearts away ever. the relationships between those two girls is so interesting and they have a great progression through the show, and they are basically opposites and the perfect representation of opposites attract. even they're names are perfect opposites and complements chocolat and vanilla
