Nah she is just trying to be polite. When she hung up she was probably thinking how stupid he was to even call her in the first place and thinking "why didn't he just put in an application?" Most places won't even hire half of the normal people who apply. Anyone who has been to prison or has serious law trouble or any good reason not to be hired may as well just learn to live in the woods because they will NEVER get a job which means they cannot continue living their life because nowadays your job is your life.

I used to deliver pizzas and there's actually a lot of people that would hand money folded or wadded up and telling me keep the change being short. Fucking ridiculous really. Plus they shut the door as soon as you do the hand off and not answer it afterwards. They know you're not going to call the cops over a 5 spot though and when id call and report it to work, they would just do a return on the full price keeping the remaining money. No tip at all even having to go through that bullshit of waiting hoping they come back to the door and then calling it in, they've done cut you out of two other runs you could have made in that time.
